The niece of slain Iranian military commander Gen. Qasem Soleimani was arrested by federal immigration authorities along with her daughter, with officials citing alleged ties to the Iranian regime and support for its activities, according to the State Department.
Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday. Both had their green cards revoked, officials said, following a review of their activities and affiliations.
In a statement outlining the basis for the action, the State Department said, “While living in the United States, she promoted Iranian regime propaganda, celebrated attacks against American soldiers and military facilities in the Middle East, praised the new Iranian Supreme Leader, denounced America as the “Great Satan,’ and voiced her unflinching support for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terror organization.”
According to federal records, Afshar entered the United States in 2015 on a tourist visa.

She was later granted asylum in 2019 and obtained a green card in 2021.
Authorities said she traveled back to Iran at least four times after becoming a permanent resident, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Her daughter, Hosseiny, also entered the United States in 2015 on a student visa.
She became a green card holder in 2023, officials said.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson addressed the decision to revoke their residency status.
“It is a privilege to be granted a green card to live in the United States of America. If we have reason to believe a green card holder poses a threat to the US, the green card will be revoked,” said Lauren Bis.
Officials also pointed to Afshar’s social media activity, which they said included content promoting the Iranian regime and documenting her lifestyle in Los Angeles.
The State Department noted that her social media account, which has since been deleted, frequently displayed aspects of her life in the United States.
Afshar’s husband, whose name was not disclosed by officials, has also been barred from entering the United States as part of the action.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed the development in a post on X, writing, “The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.”
Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States.

The arrests come as the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has continued, entering its sixth week.
Federal officials have not disclosed additional details regarding the timing of potential removal proceedings.
In a related action last month, the State Department terminated the legal status of Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larjiani, the daughter of Ali Larjiani, who previously served as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
Ali Larjiani, described by officials as a hardliner, was reported to have been killed in joint U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on March 16, following an Israeli operation that targeted Iranian leadership.
Qasem Soleimani, Afshar’s uncle, led the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force and was killed in a U.S. drone strike ordered by President Donald Trump in 2020 near Baghdad International Airport in Iraq.
Officials said the arrests of Afshar and Hosseiny are part of ongoing enforcement actions related to national security concerns and immigration compliance.

Good by to American haters should be tried as spy’s.
Who gave this witch a green card to begin with?
Who else but the democrats.
This works for me! Best story I’ve read today. Hooray!
One word that is pro-Iran ( and against the U.S. ) should be enough to allow the sending of that person back to the hell-hole from where they came … immediately!
American citizens are Constitutionally allowed to be stupid in that way, but NOT a foreigner.
Now just rid of a few hundred thousand more…
Be kind to these people, deport them to Israel.
Deporting them is super news!!! Back to Iran would be great!! Guess because they asked for asylum from their own country is ridiculous to say the least!! They must go back and face their fate for supposedly disgracing their culture by running around dressed as western culture versus their oppressed culture!!! Sickening wenches!!! BOTH of them!!! Face their judgement whatever that is back in their own country!!!
These people and thousands of others just like them should not be in the United States. Why it has taken so long to start sending them back to their islamic hellholes amazes me. Islamophobia is a joke, a word made up by a radical muslim to intimidate the bleeding heart liberals who believe in moral relativity and multiculturalism and would rather die than be called a bigot or a racist. They don’t care about the American people, they care about keeping their political power and all the perks that are included with being elected to high offices. They don’t represent anyone but themselves and their reelections. They are despicable. Muslims are not compatible with our society, our values, and our religions. They come here to exploit the benefits of freedom, to take what they can get from American taxpayers while contributing nothing beneficial to our society or country. Islam is antithetical to everything America stands for.
