FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino issued a public update this week as pressure continues to mount from conservative leaders demanding greater transparency and accountability from the agency.
Bongino’s statement, posted on social media, comes in the midst of ongoing scrutiny directed at the FBI and Department of Justice over concerns of political bias, a lack of internal reform, and unresolved issues from past investigations.
The Deputy Director, now in his fifth week in the position, was appointed to help initiate reforms following years of criticism over how the bureau handled cases related to high-profile political figures.

“Week 5 Updates,” Bongino wrote.
“Thank you for following this account. I’m traveling this week to some of your FBI field offices to gather information on necessary reforms, and to hear from the workforce. The Director and I have prioritized reforms while also making sure the work being done to ensure the safety of the Homeland continues.”
His message appeared to address the frustration expressed by conservative figures such as Rudy Giuliani, retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, and Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
All three have been outspoken in their criticism of the FBI and DOJ’s leadership, particularly regarding perceived inaction on past misconduct and politically motivated investigations.

Bongino acknowledged those concerns in his update.
“I posted this last week but I want to reiterate it. The Director and I are working on a number of significant initiatives to ensure that the mistakes of the past are never repeated, and that many of your open questions are answered,” he wrote.
He continued, “We fully understand that some of the actions and initiatives we’ve taken may not immediately appear to fit into the puzzle. And that leaves a vacuum at times, filled by others. But accountability requires information, and people WITH information. I’ll say again, I’m NOT asking you to ‘trust me,’ because I’m not in the ‘trust me’ business. I’m in the ‘show me results’ business.”
In his remarks, Bongino emphasized that a lack of public-facing updates should not be mistaken for inaction.
“Actions that aren’t immediately visible do not equate to inaction. And I’ll be candid here, it’s tough not being able to respond to critical or laudatory comments. But, that’s what I signed up for as an employee of the taxpayer,” he stated.
“I need to let the results speak for themselves on many of these matters because that’s what you’re paying me to do. I know you’ve been let down in the past. You’re owed better. And we’re going to produce it.”
The update marks Bongino’s most comprehensive public communication since stepping into the role of Deputy Director.
His appointment came amid efforts by current FBI Director Kash Patel to signal reform and rebuild public trust, particularly following fallout from past controversies tied to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, FISA abuses, and the treatment of whistleblowers.
“God bless America, and all those who defend Her,” Bongino concluded.

As investigations into prior misconduct remain under public scrutiny, and questions continue about political influence within federal law enforcement, Bongino’s remarks appear to be part of a broader effort to re-engage with concerned Americans, especially those on the right who remain skeptical of the FBI’s internal direction.

Well Dan I do not trust you. Before you left your show Pam Bondi flat out lied about releasing docs that she said were on her desk then said after it was just a show of old data that see did not realize that there was more till later. And you never said a word you would have been screaming if it would have been a Dem. Then the DC field office posting . You do the same thing the Dems did when in power. I DO NOT TRUST YOU AT ALL.
Give these guys a chance. The deep state morass did not appear overnight and it ain’t going away overnight. These federal pricks have been solidifying their positions for decades.
He should have called out Bondi day one she FLAT OUT LIED
Maybe Bondi herself needs to be investigated
It took decades to build this swamp, you’re an unrealistic fool to think the entrenched corruption can be removed in 90 days

It’s not that difficult to right the wrongs of the Whistleblowers especially when they are STILL SUSPENDED WITHOUT PAY and SECURITY CLEARANCE REVOKED, GARRETT O’BOYLE & STEVE FRIEND were punished by the fbi and the doj and that should’ve been the very 1st correction that now Director Kash Patel should’ve done, If Patel didn’t address it then Bongino now Deputy Director knew it as well….
