Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce weighed in after learning that President Donald Trump will be in attendance at this weekend’s Super Bowl. Kelce, whose girlfriend Taylor Swift has been outspokenly liberal, didn’t seem fazed by the news and kept his reaction neutral.
Trump’s presence at the game will be historic, as no sitting president has ever attended a Super Bowl before. However, the news has stirred up attention for another reason—his long-running criticism of Taylor Swift, as reported by Buzzfeed.

Over the years, Trump has taken several jabs at the pop star, particularly after she threw her political weight behind Democrats. Back in August, Trump shared an AI-generated image falsely depicting Swift as a supporter of his campaign.
After she endorsed Kamala Harris, Trump didn’t hold back, stating, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan… She’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

He later escalated the rhetoric, posting, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on Truth Social.

With Trump now set to attend the biggest game of the year, People magazine asked Kelce for his thoughts. Rather than diving into any political drama, Kelce played it safe. “That’s awesome. It’s a great honor,” he said of Trump’s upcoming appearance.
“I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there—it’s the best country in the world—and that’s pretty cool,” Kelce added.

His comments are in line with previous statements he’s made about the White House. After the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory last year, Kelce confirmed he would visit the White House “every time… no matter who’s up there at the helm.”
Unlike some of his peers who have made grand political statements by refusing to attend, Kelce seems content with sticking to football and leaving politics aside.

While Swift and Trump have never exactly seen eye to eye, Kelce’s focus remains on the game. Whether Swift, who has been jetting across the globe to see Kelce play, will be in attendance alongside Trump remains to be seen.
But one thing is for sure—the Super Bowl will be packed with star power, on and off the field.

So who really cares what TAYLOR SWIFT thinks about Trump. She has no more insight to President Trump than I do. She is an entertainer so what makes anyone think she knows politicians any better than we do. She needs to stick to singing and stay out of politics. Incidentally we are all entitled to select which politicians we like and which we don’t like BUT when the majority of people elect a politician we should put aside our differences and encourage them to do what is best for the Country.
Curious, does Tay-Tay allow Travis to take his junk out of the briefcase she keeps it in whenever she’s not around? Might help his game…and self-respect!
