Alex Soros, son of billionaire George Soros, continues to push his political influence, this time hosting Democratic candidate Tim Walz at his New York City apartment.

Soros, 38, shared his excitement on social media, posting, “Honored to host Governor Tim Walz at my home in New York City!” This recent gathering highlights Alex’s growing presence in Democratic circles as he continues to follow in his father’s politically charged footsteps, as reported by Fox News.

Since assuming leadership of the Soros family’s political operations, Alex has contributed millions to help Democrats win key elections and fuel progressive agendas.

He’s not shy about his connections either—his social media is flooded with photos alongside some of the biggest names in the Democratic Party. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi feature prominently in these posts, displaying the younger Soros’ consistent proximity to top-tier politicians.

Alex recently posted another significant photo, posing with Vice President Kamala Harris, captioning, “Great to recently catch up with Madame Vice President, [Kamala Harris]!”

This is just one of many examples showing how deeply embedded he is in the upper echelons of Democratic leadership.

Though his financial contributions haven’t yet matched his father’s massive donations, Alex has still managed to pour millions into the political arena. Since the 2018 election cycle, Alex has funneled more than $5 million into Democratic efforts. His largest single donation—$2 million—went to the Schumer-aligned Senate Majority PAC, proving his commitment to securing Democratic victories.

In 2020, Alex contributed over $700,000 to the Biden Victory Fund, placing him among its top supporters. He has also thrown substantial financial weight behind the Nancy Pelosi Victory Fund, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), along with various state parties and individual campaigns.

While Alex’s contributions may be dwarfed by his father’s deep pockets, there’s no question that he’s positioning himself as a major player in progressive politics. It remains unclear if or how much he has donated to the Harris-Walz campaign, but his influence in Democratic circles is undeniable.
