As predicted, the mainstream media wasted no time in crowning Kamala Harris the “winner” of Tuesday night’s presidential debate. It’s almost like a script they’ve followed before, as they did in 2016. However, the reality of the situation is far from their narrative, as reported by Red State.
Donald Trump wasn’t just up against Harris; he was fighting biased moderators who seemed more interested in propping her up than holding her accountable.
Throughout the debate, Harris delivered one misleading claim after another, yet the moderators failed to challenge her. It’s an all-too-familiar sight—conservatives being grilled while their opponents get a free pass.

Even some on the left, like Democratic strategist Doug Schoen, called out the clear bias, and Megyn Kelly and other right-leaning voices were quick to voice their discontent as well.
The real question now is whether voters can see through the media’s smokescreen. A CBS focus group in Pennsylvania offered some hope, with participants acknowledging the blatant favoritism. Many saw through the narrative being pushed and recognized Trump’s strong points.
But how much impact will this debate have? The media declared Hillary Clinton the winner in the 2016 debates, and she was comfortably ahead in the polls. We all remember how that turned out.
Polls can be misleading, and even though CNN’s flash poll said Harris “performed better,” there’s more to winning over voters than mere theatrics. “Performance” might be the key word here, as the debate felt more like a staged play than a genuine contest of ideas.

Despite the media’s attempt to push their chosen narrative, Trump still holds the advantage on the issues voters care about the most—economy, immigration, and leadership.
Harris may have gained trust on fringe issues like abortion and “protecting democracy,” but the fundamentals still favor Trump. According to CNN’s own poll, Trump held a 20-point lead over Harris on handling the economy, and an even larger advantage on immigration and border control.
Voters who tuned in largely felt the debate didn’t change their minds, and that’s significant. The debate reinforced Trump’s strengths, particularly on economic issues. Harris, on the other hand, failed to capitalize on her moment.
As one CBS focus group member put it, if Harris has all these grand plans, why hasn’t she done anything about them yet? She’s already in office, after all.
So while the media may have declared Harris the victor, the numbers tell a different story. And it’s no wonder she’s pushing for another debate—she’s losing ground where it counts.
