Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold’s legal case has reached another stage. Arnold was released by the Lions in June shortly after his arrest, and while several teams have reportedly shown interest, no agreement has been reached as training camps begin.

FOX Sports’ Greg Auman reported on Thursday that Arnold now has an arraignment hearing scheduled before a judge in Tampa on Aug. 13.

Auman reported, “Former Lions corner Terrion Arnold now has an arraignment hearing set before a judge in Tampa for Aug. 13 on the eight felony charges of kidnapping and robbery he’s facing from his arrest last month.”

The charges carry severe penalties under Florida law. Arnold was initially held without bond after his arrest.

Several days later, a judge approved his release on a $1 million bond. As part of the bond conditions, Arnold remains on house arrest at his home in Tallahassee.

His most recent court appearance took place on July 10. At that hearing, the court declined to require GPS monitoring. Arnold is permitted to travel only for approved work related activities, including NFL tryouts.

His legal situation, however, remains unresolved. Arnold, still a free agent while teams continue preparing for the 2026 season, has garnered some interest around the league. His agent, Nicole Lynn, previously confirmed that the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets had all expressed interest after the Lions released him.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Texans hosted Arnold for a workout shortly after his release.

Schefter reported on July 10, “Former Lions CB Terrion Arnold took a physical in Houston on Thursday for the Texans, and is scheduled to visit two more teams next week, per sources.”

Those workouts have not resulted in a contract.
