Britney Spears declared that she will “find a new family” while unleashing a blistering attack on her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and former husband Kevin Federline. Spears, 44, accused both of treating her cruelly and making her feel powerless, as reported by Page Six.
One of her grievances concerned Jamie Lynn’s daughter, Ivey, who is 8 years old. Britney claimed her sister prevented her from holding the child during visits, although the singer misspelled her niece’s name in the Instagram message.
“Jamie Lynn never let me hold [my niece] Ivy [sic] one time when I would visit in Louisiana during COVID in two-week trips,” Britney wrote Sunday. She posted the statement alongside an image of Dakota Fanning raising her middle finger in the 2003 film “Uptown Girls.”
Britney then turned her attention to Federline, with whom she shares sons Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 20. She accused her former husband of refusing her a basic courtesy when she arrived at his home to collect their children.

“Kevin wouldn’t let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house !!!” she wrote. The accusation formed part of a broader condemnation of how Britney said she had been treated by members of her family.
“They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad!!!” she continued. Britney ended the furious declaration with, “I will find a new family!!!”

Page Six contacted representatives for both Federline and Jamie Lynn following the post. Neither representative immediately responded to the outlet’s request for comment.
It remains unclear what prompted Britney to publish the message. However, it appeared days after Page Six exclusively reported that Federline was facing a sizable credit card bill involving City National Bank.
The former backup dancer, 48, allegedly owes the bank at least $117,704 in total. Documents obtained by Page Six connected that amount to a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft line.
Federline signed the agreement with City National Bank in late November 2024. That was around the same time Britney made her final child support payment to him.
Britney and Federline were married from 2004 until 2007. The Grammy winner previously paid him $40,000 each month in child support while he raised Sean Preston and Jayden James in Hawaii.
The payments changed after Sean Preston turned 18 in 2023, falling from $40,000 to $20,000. They continued until Jayden James graduated from high school.
Federline also faced legal action from Bank of America. Page Six previously reported that the bank sued him in February over an alleged unpaid balance of $12,186.64.
He appears to have paid that amount, according to the report. The lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice four months later.
Britney’s relationship with Jamie Lynn has also remained deeply strained for years. Their estrangement has centered on the “Crossroads” star’s finances and the restrictive conservatorship that ended in November 2021.
The “Toxic” singer has previously said she felt betrayed because members of her family, including Jamie Lynn, did not help her escape the conservatorship. Britney accused her sister in 2023 of profiting from the family’s fame and assets.
Their public feud intensified in 2022 as Jamie Lynn promoted her memoir, “Things I Should Have Said.” During interviews connected to the book, the “Zoey 101” alum described Britney’s behavior as “erratic” and “paranoid.”
Britney responded on social media by calling Jamie Lynn a “selfish little brat.” Her legal team also sent Jamie Lynn a cease and desist letter.
Federline later published his own scathing memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” last year. Britney condemned the book as “extremely hurtful and exhausting,” adding it to a bitter series of public clashes involving her former husband and estranged family.
