- A UTSA student recited a poem celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination and repeatedly referenced the fatal shot to his neck.
- The student then told Christian Collins he was brave for appearing without protection or a neck brace.
- Collins, founder of the Texas Youth Summit, said he would pray for the student despite her remarks.
- TPUSA contributor Jack Posobiec said the clip showed the Left openly celebrating murder and political violence.
A UTSA student delivered a grotesque poem celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination, then aimed a chilling neck-protection remark at conservative speaker Christian Collins. The exchange was captured in a video that Collins later posted publicly.
Collins, the founder of the Texas Youth Summit, said the student read the poem “with such glee” before commenting on his neck. Her performance centered on Kirk’s fatal shooting and an event she called the “Kirkiversary.”
Before beginning the poem, the student introduced herself as “Pamper Baby.” She told the crowd that she had taken a Plan B and felt guilty as an immigrant.
She then launched into a parody of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Rather than offering anything resembling holiday cheer, the student used the familiar format to invoke Kirk’s death and the fatal wound to his neck.

The poem opened with the student reciting, “It was the night before the Kirkiversary, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The flags were hung proudly.”
She continued by describing memes prepared for the occasion and a supposedly solemn remembrance of the shooting. “The memes all on deck, as we solemnly remembered a shot to the neck. The podcast fell silent.”
The poem also referred to wary hot takes before announcing the coming occasion. “The hot takes grew wary. For tomorrow, dear friends, is the great Kirkiversary.”
Her performance did not stop with the poem’s macabre celebration of the assassination. It ended with an invitation for people to attend another event bearing Kirk’s name.
The student called the event “Squirt for Kirk” and said it would be held on October 10th. She told those listening to bring their own equipment, using the abbreviation BYOE, and made additional remarks about vaccines being included and the event being free.
After finishing the performance, the student turned her attention directly to Collins. She told him that he was brave for appearing there “with no protection, no nothing, no like neck brace.”
At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her. This is the climate. We pick up the mic anyway. https://t.co/ZfipQsosaF — Christian Collins (@CollinsforTX) October 27, 2026
That remark echoed the central image of her poem, which explicitly referenced the shot that killed Kirk. It also directed the neck imagery toward a conservative speaker who was present for the exchange.
Kirk was fatally shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University in September 2025. The student’s poem repeatedly invoked that fatal wound while presenting the assassination as an occasion for memes and celebration.

Despite the student’s remarks about Kirk’s killing and Collins’s lack of neck protection, Collins said he would pray for her. His response stood in stark contrast to the glee he said she displayed while reading the poem.
TPUSA contributor Jack Posobiec also shared the clip. He framed the student’s performance as another example of the Left openly celebrating political violence and the deaths of opponents.
Posobiec wrote, “I don’t know what else to tell people. The Left wants us dead. I am not using hyperbole; they are openly celebrating murder, violence, and the slaughter of their political opponents.”
