Late-night activity inside the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center is drawing scrutiny after surveillance video appeared to show election employees using flash drives on equipment already certified for the November 3 election.
The video, obtained by election watchdog group We the People Alliance from a source, appears to show activity at approximately 10:38 pm on October 7. The group said the footage came from a camera view unavailable through the county’s public livestream.
According to We the People Alliance, the employees finished their earlier shift and left at approximately 6:20 pm. The group said they returned around 9:08 pm and remained inside the facility until 11:15 pm.
The county disputed suggestions of misconduct and said the employees were completing ordinary duties. The elections department stated, “As occurs in the weeks preceding an election, these employees were working on a legitimate election task, late into the night.”

“These photos may be used on social media to imply wrongdoing. This is not the case. Know the facts, so you can vote confidently,” the department continued.
County Supervisor Mark Stewart separately said the two employees were “trying to complete work before the weekend.” The activity shown in the footage occurred on a Wednesday night, which prompted further questions from critics about why the work was performed at that hour.
We the People Alliance cofounder Shelby Busch criticized the county’s explanation and its claims of transparency. She said officials did not identify the specific election task that required employees to return late at night.
Busch stated, “There are two flaws with the Maricopa County Election Department’s statement of transparency. First, they fail to disclose to the public what this ‘legitimate election task’ was that required occurring late into the night, and second, they indicate this can be viewed 24/7 by the public; however, the feed published by WTP USA does not appear to be part of the public feeds.”

Maricopa County nevertheless declared, “You can view our tabulation center 24/7 365 days a year.” We the People Alliance said the camera angle contained in the video could not be found among the public livestream feeds covering activity at the election center.

This is why we MUST vote! Turn out in masses this election and have your voice heard. We must be vigilant, we are watching.. These employees worked a day shift that day, leaving at 6:23pm and then returned at 9:08pm alone (with child) and remained until 11:15pm. One of the 2 employees has been identified as Brian Ramirez, the same BOS employee who deleted files off the EMS system in 2020. The watchdog group identified one employee as Brian Ramirez and linked him to previous allegations involving the deletion of election files before machines were delivered to Arizona Senate auditors after the 2020 election. The Gateway Pundit said it had not independently verified Ramirez’s involvement in the latest episode.
The timing also raised concerns because Maricopa County conducted logic and accuracy testing for the November 3 election on October 5. The external devices appeared to be plugged into computers two days after that testing, according to the footage described by the watchdog group.
We the People Alliance said its additional video showed approximately three hours of activity. The group also claimed one employee brought a child into the highly secure ballot tabulation center and said all relevant details had been reported to authorities.

The controversy revived scrutiny over the county’s handling of equipment after logic and accuracy testing during the 2022 election. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Maricopa County admitted during Kari Lake’s court proceedings to “install[ing] new memory cards on its Election Day tabulators” on October 14, 17, and 18.
Those installations occurred after the statutorily required October 11 logic and accuracy testing, according to the earlier report. The tabulators later experienced failures on Election Day, with The Gateway Pundit asserting that thousands of Maricopa County voters were disenfranchised.
The latest footage surfaced after county election vendor Runbeck sent thousands of ballots to voters nearly a week before early voting was scheduled to begin. The incident was described by officials as an error, adding another layer of controversy around Maricopa County’s election preparations.
Asked by The Gateway Pundit about the ballot incident, President Trump rejected the explanation. “By the way, there were no errors. You know that, right? There were no errors,” Trump said, before adding, “They got caught.”
