Senator John Kennedy said Republicans should move forward on health care reform through reconciliation, arguing that Democrats prefer to keep the system unstable for political advantage rather than work toward long-term fixes.
In a Fox News segment with correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, Kennedy outlined what he sees as achievable Republican solutions and said Democratic resistance has stalled needed action.
Kennedy said Republicans should advance legislation even if Democrats refuse to participate.
“We need to do a health care bill as part of reconciliation. We need to invite the Democrats to join with us. And a few might, but most of them won't, because they don't want to solve the problem. They want to maintain it as an issue in the elections. That doesn't mean we ought to do nothing,” he said.

Heinrich asked whether such action could be taken before consumers face higher costs.
“Can you do that, though, before the premiums go up? Can you can you get that done before people start having letters in the mail that say I'm going to be paying, you know, double what I was paying before, and looking around and saying, Whose fault is this?” she asked.
Kennedy said Democrats delayed the process.
“No, because, and that's the Democrats fault. They shut down government. We, we should have been doing this, talking about this back in October, but, but, frankly, back in October, we should have started a reconciliation bill, and the Republicans should have done this all on their own, without Democratic support, if the Democrats don't want to join us,” he said.

Kennedy said Republicans have clear policy steps available.
“We know how to fix the Affordable Care Act Obamacare. We know how to stop the fraud. We know how to do PBM reform. We know how to do site neutrality. We know how to design a health care delivery system. It looks like somebody designed it on purpose,” he said.
Kennedy closed by expressing doubt that any Democratic cooperation will materialize.
“But I'm sorry. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. The Democrats aren't going to help us. We've got it. No one's coming to save us but ourselves,” he said.

The sole purpose of the Democrat-sponsored ACA (Affordable Care Act) was to bankrupt the private health care insurance industry so that the government could implement Socialized medicine. It was ‘Hillarycare’ 2.0. It was all about government power and control over ‘We the People’. It was designed to fail. Democrat-controlled Congress paid huge sums of taxpayer dollars to participating insurance companies as subsidies to help keep premiums artificially low. Democrats want to continue those subsidies because it gives them ‘talking points’ to blame Republicans for cutting those subsidies…..and to keep receiving kickbacks from those companies (your tax dollars).
Democrats don’t know how to solve problems ,they only know how to cause chaos
