A sniper opened fire Wednesday morning from a rooftop near the Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, critically injuring three people before taking his own life.
Authorities later discovered the gunman’s body on top of a nearby immigration attorney’s office.
Investigators reported that shell casings recovered at the scene contained messages expressing anti-ICE sentiment.

The shooting prompted swift responses across media and political circles.
On Fox News, Andrew Kolvet, producer for Charlie Kirk’s program, said the incident fit a troubling pattern of violence aimed at conservatives and government agencies associated with immigration enforcement.
Kolvet linked the Dallas shooting to earlier cases of political violence, calling for accountability from public figures whose rhetoric, he argued, fuels hostility.
“I see everything as being connected,” Kolvet said. “This shooting at an ICE facility—yeah, we don’t know all the details yet. I made some calls before coming on with you—and I’m being told that, you know, the thought is this person was attacking ICE. Our prayers are with anybody who was caught up in this violence.”

Kolvet also criticized comedian Jimmy Kimmel for comments made in recent broadcasts.
Last week, Kimmel incorrectly described Charlie Kirk’s killer as a “MAGA Republican,” a claim he did not retract when returning to air Tuesday after a suspension.
“When somebody like Jimmy Kimmel says that the shooter of Charlie was MAGA, what he’s really saying is that it’s okay to lie about conservatives, that their lives don’t matter, that his political agenda and cultural agenda are more important than the life of my friend who was just taken from us and robbed from us,” Kolvet said.
He drew a direct line between the rhetoric of prominent cultural figures and acts of violence.
“You see this with [Luigi] Mangione, you see this with Charlie Kirk, now you see it with this ICE facility. It’s not okay,” he said.
Kolvet added that public accountability is essential.
“When people like Jimmy Kimmel skirt the truth, when they refuse to take accountability for their actions, then that sends a signal that there’s a whole institutional machinery, apparatus that’s prepared to defend these evildoers, and that’s not okay,” he stated.
Kolvet said the responsibility rests with individuals in positions of influence to correct misinformation and acknowledge mistakes.
“What we need is, ‘I’m sorry. I lied. I was wrong. And I won’t do it again. And my apologies to the Kirk family and Erika Kirk,’” he said.

The Dallas shooting has heightened concerns about escalating violence directed at federal agencies and prominent conservatives.
While investigators continue to search for additional evidence about the suspect and his motivations, the incident has already reignited debate over the impact of political and cultural rhetoric on national security and public safety.
Federal officials have pledged a thorough investigation into the shooting, including the origin of the anti-ICE messages found with the suspect’s ammunition.
The Department of Homeland Security said it is coordinating with Dallas police and federal law enforcement to ensure the safety of ICE personnel and facilities nationwide.

Got rid of my TV long ago. I’d wouldn’t invite trash into my home, and allowing bottom feeders who spew vomit on TV is treated as such.
Kolvet is absolutely correct. “What we need..” We, being the entire Human Race, need accountability, responsibility, and consequences. Kimmel himself needs consequences or his life is meaningless. He is making money, living in luxury, wanting for nothing, except beauty. Beauty being the philosophical result of honesty, truth, forthrighfulness, integrity. Without those things, the human being is an empty shell. Nature hates a vacuum and an empty shell, if left alone, is always filled with gunk, trash, and filth. And isn’t that exactly what Jimmy Kimmel, Luigi, Tyler, DeCarlos, Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer, Colbert, Olbermann, and most the Leftists media and leaders are? These people will never change. They are happy in their filth. Thinking we can shame them into behaving like decent people is insanity. The only way to clean up this mess is to take out the trash.
Their apologies won’t cut it because we are past the point of their apologies making a difference.
Can’t undo the assassinations and the murders.
We need to quash their entire party and ideology to the point that they are homeless and penniless for the rest of their worthless lives.
Very sick man.
This sick man serves no purpose in life.
Take away his citizenship and kick him out of the US. We don’t need his kind here.
Jimmy what’s his name is not funny or talented, nor has he ever been. He is on TV (I hear because I do not own one) because he is a worthless person willing to tell the lies and spew the hate of liberal leftists. Period! He is just a symptom of the bigger problem in the US of the socialist attempt at taking over. The left, through their propaganda machine the MSM keep telling us that DJT, MAGA and Christian conservatives want to take over total control of the country. Ever notice when they accuse their “enemies” of something it is merely projection of exactly what they are doing? Weird?
