Brittany Aldean, wife of country music star Jason Aldean, said she was moved by the memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk and left inspired to “live like Charlie.”
Kirk, who was 31 years old when he was assassinated, was remembered by political leaders, family, and supporters at a large service held Sunday in Arizona.
Aldean, a 37-year-old social media influencer with 2.6 million Instagram followers, posted a video following the memorial describing her experience at the service.

“Yesterday, we went to Charlie’s funeral service in Arizona, and it was vastly different than what I anticipated in the sense that it was just so faith-based,” Aldean said in the video.
“I knew it was going to be, but everyone was worshiping. Everybody. There was just something different in the room.”
She said Kirk’s influence was greater than she had realized.
“This man’s legacy that he has left, the impact that he has had on so many people… like, I knew he had impacted a ton of people, but this was just, this feels different.”

Aldean said the gathering felt less like a funeral and more like a revival.
“It was very overwhelming,” she said.
“I expected to go in there and cry hysterically the whole time. I brought this big thing of tissues… and instead, it was weirdly positive.”
Reflecting on Kirk’s life, Aldean said, “The legacy of Charlie Kirk was so big. He had a different purpose in life. There was just a different plan that was greater for him that God knew. They keep saying, ‘Live like Charlie,’ so I’m going to. I’m going to really try to do that.”
Brittany and Jason Aldean have been outspoken about their conservative political views and their support for President Donald Trump.
Both have faced criticism but have not backed down from expressing their beliefs.
The couple publicly supported Trump during his 2024 campaign and have remained active in conservative causes.
The memorial drew close to 100,000 people to State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
Another estimated 100 million watched online or on television.
President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance were among the speakers, along with most members of the president’s cabinet.
One of the most notable moments came from Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, who now serves as CEO of Turning Point USA. Erika Kirk addressed the audience with a message of forgiveness.

“They keep saying, ‘Live like Charlie,’” she said, and in a moment that drew national attention, she publicly forgave her husband’s killer, saying it was what Christ had done on the Cross and what her husband would have chosen to do as well.
