Federal immigration officers attempting to detain a Honduran national on Tuesday were met with resistance from staff at a surgical center in Southern California, resulting in a confrontation that was captured on video and later confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security.
The incident occurred at the Ontario Advanced Surgery Center, located roughly 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
According to a statement posted on X by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were conducting a “targeted enforcement operation to arrest two illegal aliens” at the time of the encounter.
As part of the operation, agents in marked ICE bulletproof vests approached two individuals as they exited a vehicle.

One of the individuals, identified as Denis Guillen-Solis of Honduras, fled the scene on foot. DHS stated that Guillen-Solis ran toward the Ontario Advanced Surgery Center, where the situation escalated.
Video footage from the incident shows medical personnel attempting to block ICE officers from detaining Guillen-Solis inside the building.
In the video, a staff member in blue medical scrubs is seen intervening between the agent and the individual, saying, “Get your hands off of him. Let him go. You need to get out.”
Another staff member is heard telling the ICE agent, “You don’t even have a warrant for him.”

The Department of Homeland Security’s post claimed that during the incident, “hospital staff assaulted law enforcement and drug the officer and illegal alien into the facility.”
The statement also alleged that the staff “attempted to obstruct the arrest by locking the door, blocking law enforcement vehicles from moving, and even called the cops claiming there was a ‘kidnapping.’”
Following the altercation, Guillen-Solis was taken into custody by federal agents.

His arrest came after what DHS described as active interference by members of the clinic staff.
Javier Hernandez, executive director of the Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice, confirmed the arrest in comments to The Associated Press.
Hernandez said Guillen-Solis had been working as a landscaper and was sending money to Honduras to support his mother’s dialysis treatments.

On the same day, a separate demonstration took place outside the San Francisco Immigration Court, where protesters confronted ICE officers who were carrying batons.
Footage from that protest showed demonstrators engaging in direct physical contact with agents.

In a third incident later in the week, federal authorities conducted an enforcement action at a marijuana farm north of Los Angeles that was allegedly employing illegal aliens.
That operation also drew protesters, some of whom attempted to interfere with ICE agents at the scene.

That surgical clinic, and its staff, need to lose their license(s) to practice medicine. Of course, being in California, the clinic was probably already functioning illegally—which is why they felt it acceptable to help a fellow criminal.
If the neighboring States will consider donating a few feet of their border land there may be a resolution to the California Problem.
It would mean the employment of a few mechanical diggers, probably quite a few gallons of diesel and lots of man-hours, BUT, a deep ( VERY DEEP ) trench along the entire border could facilitate Nature taking over and completing the separation of the land masses with a little assistance from natural geological plate movements.
Who knows ? It might even work ! ;)
