Alex Jones, the founder of InfoWars, announced the news on Monday, calling White’s death a “brutal murder” and linking the incident to policies under Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza.

“We are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars Reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight Sunday night due, in part, to the policies of the Soros Austin, TX D.A. Jose Garza,” Jones said.

Jones also vowed that those responsible would be held accountable.

“We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice,” he stated.

During a broadcast posted to X, Jones described White as the best writer at InfoWars and a “good friend” who had been part of the outlet for many years.

He said White was heading home from work Sunday night when he was attacked.

The Austin Police Department has not issued an official statement on White’s death but confirmed to local Fox 7 that officers responded to a call around midnight Sunday in South Austin, where they found an adult male with “obvious signs of trauma.”

The man was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to the report.

KXAN reported that the victim was discovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

A clip shared by Jones on X showed law enforcement officers collecting evidence from a second-floor apartment.

In a monologue on Monday, Jones described the scene, saying there was “blood all over the parking lot.”

Authorities have not released any information regarding a suspect, but police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.

White’s death marks the eighth homicide in Austin so far this year.
