John Solomon says he has seen a major change in the Justice Department’s approach to election integrity and accountability, pointing to a surge in prosecutions, grand jury activity and investigations involving non-citizen voting, election vulnerabilities and former senior government officials.

During an exchange with Glenn Beck, Solomon said he understands the frustration that comes from uncovering evidence only to watch the people implicated continue without apparent consequences.

"What's going to come out of this, John? What do you? What? What is your feeling on this one?" Beck asked.

Solomon said he has experienced many of the same doubts.

"So, I've been on the same roller coaster you have, Glenn. You know, you do lots of this great reporting. You try to help people. I've been in the White House declassifying documents, and you see this extraordinary body of evidence, and then you see the people implicated in that body of evidence, walking free, thumbing their nose, going on television, making money, writing false letters that mislead Americans in elections, and you're like, is it worth even doing? The answer, of course, it is. It is."

Solomon said he began noticing a change after the creation of the White House task force, particularly in how prosecutors were approaching election-related information.

"I have detected since the beginning of the White House task force a new sentiment in the Justice Department in the prosecutorial world, and I'll just use some examples."

He pointed to information that was released involving alleged Chinese interference, stolen voter records, non-citizens on voter rolls, and weaknesses in election systems.

"So, you know, our original releases at the task force were the basis for the president's July speech about China interventions in our election, including the theft of voter records, the fact that there were a lot of non-citizens on voter rolls, and some appeared to have voted, and then the election vulnerabilities."

Solomon claimed much of the information had been known inside the federal government for years but had not reached the president.

"Now I can tell you from the work I've done that this has long been known in the government, but it had never gotten to the president's attention. In fact, there was an intentional effort by the intelligence world to keep two presidents and probably a member and two Congresses in the dark on this."

According to Solomon, public disclosure of the information was followed by a new level of activity at the Justice Department.

"The antiseptic of light kicked in a whole new sort of activity at the Justice Department, and I suspect it wasn't that the Justice Department wasn't looking at it. Was probably the crew of people like there's nothing going on there, nothing there. It's rare, doesn't happen."

He said more than 100 non-citizens have now been charged with voting and pointed to a criminal investigation in New Jersey.

"All of a sudden, you've seen north of 100 non-citizens charged with voting. You got a major criminal investigation in New Jersey about maybe systemic non-citizens getting on the board. You've seen some new actions taken to protect our voting machines."

Solomon also said previously released intelligence had existed for six years without action.

"The intelligence that we made public was six years old, but nobody ever acted on it until Donald Trump gave his speech."

Beyond election cases, Solomon said he is seeing increased investigative activity involving former officials, including John Brennan and James Comey.

"You heard the other day that John Brennan, in a court filing, said he was told by prosecutors he's a target. You only give someone a target notification if they're about to be indicted, I see an awful lot of activity in the grand jury talking to defense lawyers, looking at activity and behavior by James Comey and his inner circle."

Solomon said that level of movement stands out compared with earlier periods of the Trump presidencies.

"I didn't see that activity for much of the last, first 13 or 14 months of the Trump presidency, except in the FBI. The FBI was always churning, but it seems to me that the Justice Department is in a different gear, and that gear has been kicked in for different reasons."

He also cited HSI activity involving Ilhan Omar and said the combination of newly released evidence and independent investigations has accelerated accountability efforts.

"I've seen more accountability activity before grand juries and in courts in the last eight weeks, and I saw, quite frankly, in the first six years of the two Trump presidencies."

Still, Solomon cautioned that investigations only matter if they produce concrete outcomes.

"So something is going on, but it only matters if you get results, and the result will be someone being charged if there is criminality, and/or being sued, or being charged with fraud, or having their job taken away."

He said the country may now be approaching a point where the Justice Department provides answers.

"I think we're in a window now where we're going to finally know the answer. I don't know which one it will be, but there's enough activity that the Justice Department is probably going to give us some clarity."

Solomon said election integrity enforcement has reached levels he has not seen before.

"And certainly on election integrity, you're seeing things you've never seen before in the history of the Justice Department. Not Trump. I mean, there have never been this many non-citizens prosecuted in the history of the Justice Department in one year"

He also highlighted a California case involving alleged pay-to-play activity tied to homeless individuals.

"You've never seen a case like they're bringing in California, where the pay-to-play with the homeless people has blossomed into a very big scandal."

Solomon closed by describing a warning he said the Justice Department recently delivered to California over alleged non-citizens on voter rolls.

"They told California, "We see these many people that we think are non-citizens on the 26 voter rolls; you better get them off before election day. Because if you allow them to cast the ballot, we're coming to charge you with knowingly and willfully letting an illegal alien vote or a non-citizen foreigner vote, and that's never been done before."

For Solomon, that warning represented the clearest indication yet that federal prosecutors are operating differently.

"That is a shock wave. That's activity we haven't seen in the past."
