Nicki Minaj unleashed a blistering attack on New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday, branding the Democrat an “evil woman” and demanding that she give up her seat. The rapper also warned that Hochul would face “God’s wrath.”
Minaj delivered the condemnation in a post on X, where she argued that the Democratic Party should make Hochul forfeit her position. She also predicted political consequences for the party even if the governor wins.
“Kathy Hochul is an evil woman. The Democratic Party should forfeit her seat because even if she wins, she will be of great consequence to them,” Minaj said.
The rapper then issued a grim prediction about the governor’s direction. “Downward spiral for her. She will not escape God’s wrath.”
Minaj closed that portion of her post by accusing Hochul of failing to speak out at a crucial moment. “She did not denounce evil when she had the chance.”

Her criticism continued after she responded to a video featuring remarks from Hochul. In the video, the governor said she wanted the world to open up to “Black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is.”
Minaj reacted with an all-capitalized message directed at Black voters and Christians. Her post sharply questioned how much more people needed to see and hear before rejecting Hochul.
“HOW MUCH MORE DO YOU NEED TO SEE & HEAR FROM THEM?!! HOW DARE YOU AS BLACK PEOPLE VOTE FOR THIS VILE WICKED CURSE OF A WOMAN?” Minaj posted.
She continued by invoking religion and accusing Hochul of remaining silent about harm to innocent people. “HOW DARE YOU AS CHRISTIANS?! SHE STAYS SILENT ON HARM BEING CAUSED TO THE INNOCENT & THIS IS WHAT SHE THINKS OF YOUR CHILDREN!”

Minaj also made her preferred candidate in the New York governor’s race clear. She endorsed Republican Bruce Blakeman for governor while continuing her assault on Hochul.
Hochul responded to the rapper’s barrage on Wednesday and suggested that Minaj should spend less time online. The governor also took direct aim at Minaj’s appearances at events supporting President Trump.
“Maybe she oughta get outside and get offline a little more,” Hochul told reporters. “And stop going to Trump rallies, it’s kinda poisoning your mind.”

The governor’s response turned the dispute into a direct exchange, with Hochul rejecting Minaj’s attacks rather than ignoring them. Her remarks focused on the rapper’s online activity and attendance at Trump rallies.
Minaj has increasingly raised her support for Trump since appearing at the Turning Point USA Americafest last year. At that event, she described reaching a point where outside criticism no longer carried the same power.
“Sometimes you just get tired of it, and then you realize, ‘Wait a minute, I have something inside of me that’s stronger than what’s out there,’” she said at the event.
Minaj also spoke about no longer caring about the opinions of people she questioned and dismissed. Her comments at Americafest reflected the confrontational posture that surfaced again in her posts targeting Hochul.
The clash combined celebrity, politics, religion, and an endorsement in a series of increasingly heated statements. Minaj called for Hochul to lose her seat, attacked her character, and urged Black voters and Christians to reject her.
Hochul answered by telling Minaj to get offline and stop attending Trump rallies. The rapper, meanwhile, used her platform to support Blakeman and repeat her fierce condemnation of New York’s governor.
