Singer Sawyer Hill has canceled the remaining dates of his tour after a devastating bus crash near the Colorado and Wyoming border left his driver dead and several members of his crew and band injured, as reported by Fox News.

Hill announced the cancellation on Oct. 14, explaining that the tour bus ran off the side of the road during the middle of the night before flipping. The singer was among those aboard the vehicle.

The rocker described the crash as terrifying for everyone involved and said the group was devastated by the death of its driver. He did not disclose specific information about the injuries suffered by the crew and band members.

"The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and out of respect for that process and for our driver and his family, we aren't able to share further details at this time," Hill wrote on Instagram.

Following what he called "careful consideration," Hill determined there was no "viable path" to continue his "Everybody's Home, Nobody's Happy" tour. He said the band and crew needed to make processing the tragedy and healing their priority.

Hill said his team is working to reschedule the canceled appearances. Refunds are also available to fans who purchased tickets for the affected dates.

"I can't wait to get back out there with you all," Hill wrote as he closed his message. "Thank you for your understanding, compassion, and support during this difficult time."

The singer added a brief and emotional note in the caption accompanying his announcement. "My heart is broken, I'm sorry guys."

A relative identified the driver as David "Rollingcloud" Jackson. On a fundraising page, the family member wrote that Jackson suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel and crossed three lanes of traffic before the bus rolled.

The family member said the band members aboard the bus survived, but Jackson died. She also wrote that his family had not known he suffered from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease or that he was epileptic before his death.

"Although the exact medical emergency that took his life remains unknown, the autopsy revealed that he had already passed away before the crash," she wrote. "When paramedics arrived at the scene, he was pronounced dead on arrival."

The relative described the sudden loss as one that gave Jackson's loved ones no opportunity to prepare or say goodbye. She also remembered him as an important part of the music industry, a community he loved and knew deeply through his work and travels.

Jackson was a father of four and a grandfather of three. His family is seeking donations to bring his body from Wyoming back to Minnesota, where he lived.

Hill's followers filled the comments beneath his Instagram post with sympathy for the singer, his crew, and Jackson's family. Several people also shared personal memories of Jackson and his kindness toward musicians on tour.

Fellow musician Lucy Levinsohn Berman wrote, "Many of us are grieving David 'RollingCloud.' He has been a pillar of the Music community. He personally took my band, along with 2 other bands, into his home when we were on tour. He housed and fed us and showed us ultimate kindness. He was one of the real ones."

Berman said she was glad the remaining members of Hill's band and crew survived. Another follower who said he had toured with Jackson called him "a beautiful soul" who would always be remembered and sent support to Hill and his camp.
