WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew mocked Sunny Hostin and NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani during a recent podcast episode.
- Carolla challenged whether Hostin personally knows the illegal aliens she repeatedly describes as neighbors.
- Mamdani’s claim that ICE is “rotten to its core” prompted Carolla to dispute his argument with a furious response.
- Carolla contrasted reports involving illegal aliens who killed Americans with occasional reports involving ICE personnel and American citizens.
Adam Carolla and his old friend Dr. Drew used a recent episode of Carolla’s podcast to deliver a blistering and deliberately funny attack on Sunny Hostin of “The View” and NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani over their criticism of ICE.
Carolla reserved some of his sharpest outrage for Hostin, who has referred to illegal aliens as “our neighbors.” He challenged whether the television personality actually knows or socializes with any of the people she describes that way.
That question drove Carolla’s takedown. Rather than accept Hostin’s description at face value, he suggested that her real interaction with illegal aliens would be limited to people performing work for her.
Carolla asked the question he argued Hostin never faces on “The View”: “You hang out with illegals, or they mow your f**king lawn, b*tch?”

He then expanded the criticism in an expletive-filled rant aimed directly at Hostin. Carolla’s point was that describing illegal aliens as friends and neighbors does not necessarily mean she personally treats them as either.
CAROLLA: “I do love when, like the Sunny Hostin of the world, like, ‘These are our neighbors. These are the people we unhoused.’ You do, Sunny? You know illegals? You hang out with illegals, or they mow your f**king lawn, bitch? YOU DON’T F**KING HANG OUT WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY’RE NOT YOUR NEIGHBORS. They don’t sit next to you at church.”
The force of the rant came from Carolla’s rejection of Hostin’s language as hollow. He repeatedly pressed the gap he sees between what she says about illegal aliens and whether she actually spends time with them.
After taking apart Hostin’s familiar description, Carolla turned to Mamdani. He played a video of the NYC mayor criticizing ICE, then joined Drew in analyzing the mayor’s comments.

Mamdani described ICE as “rotten to its core,” a declaration that nearly sent Carolla over the edge. Carolla responded by questioning whether Mamdani’s criticism could withstand a comparison involving killings by illegal aliens and ICE personnel.
“So, ICE has killed far more of these people than these people have killed whom? American citizens? I don’t think that’s statistically going to work out.”
Carolla continued by contrasting news reports about illegal aliens killing Americans with occasional reports involving ICE personnel and American citizens. His response remained furious, profane, and focused on what he viewed as a glaring problem with Mamdani’s argument.
“You turn on the news every day there’s an illegal that killed an American. You turn on the news every once in a while, and there’s an ICE guy that killed not an illegal but an American citizen. It was either wrestling with ICE or blocking him with their van or whatever the f**k it is this time.”
Sunny Hostin loves to call illegal immigrants “our neighbors.”
Adam Carolla pops the question she never gets asked on The View: Do you actually know any? “You hang out with illegals or they mow your f*cking lawn, b*tch?” CAROLLA: “I do love when like the Sunny Hostin of the world, like, ‘These are our neighbors. These are the people we unhoused.’ You do, Sunny? You know illegals? You hang out with illegals or they mow your f*cking lawn, bitch? YOU DON’T F*CKING HANG OUT WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY’RE NOT YOUR NEIGHBORS. They don’t sit next to you at church.” Carolla also nearly pops a blood vessel after Zohran Mamdani calls ICE “rotten to its core." “So, ICE has killed far more of these people than these people have killed whom? American citizens? I don’t think that’s statistically going to work out.” “You turn on the news every day there’s an illegal that killed an American. You turn on the news every once in a while and there’s an ICE guy that killed not an illegal but American citizen. It was either wrestling with ICE or blocking him with their van or whatever the f*ck it is this time.” “Anyway, he’s a f*cking radical nut job.” “And by the way, the showing the fear and the chaos and all that stuff, THAT’S YOU F*CKING GOING OUT AND WRESTLING WITH THEM. If you leave them alone and let them do their job, then there won’t be the fear and the chaos.” — The Vigilant Fox (@VigilantFox) October 23, 2026
The segment paired Carolla’s outrage with Drew’s participation as the two examined Mamdani’s remarks. Their analysis followed the Hostin takedown, giving Carolla two targets connected by their comments about illegal aliens and ICE.
Hostin became the target of mockery over her repeated use of “our neighbors,” while Mamdani drew Carolla’s fury for condemning ICE as fundamentally rotten. In both cases, Carolla challenged the language being used and demanded that it be measured against what he considered the underlying reality.
Drew’s role also stood out during the exchange. The political left had become so extreme that even Dr. Drew appeared red-pilled by the end of the discussion.
The podcast moment was classic Carolla in tone: confrontational, profane, and unwilling to soften the accusation. With Drew beside him, he turned Hostin’s rhetoric and Mamdani’s condemnation of ICE into an extended takedown of what he portrayed as blatant hypocrisy.
