Sydney Sweeney is putting Tom Cruise on notice after completing a daring airplane stunt of her own. The “Euphoria” star strapped herself to the top of a moving aircraft and captured the experience on camera.
Sweeney uploaded the video on Monday, showing herself holding a GoPro while positioned on top of the plane. The aircraft repeatedly flipped upside down as she remained attached to it, as reported by Fox News.
Even as the plane carried out the startling maneuvers, Sweeney appeared composed. She recorded the action from her unusual vantage point while soaring through the air.
The actress used the stunt to deliver a playful warning to Cruise, one of Hollywood’s most famous stuntmen. Her caption read, “Watch out, Tom Cruise.”

Sweeney wore casual leggings and a navy crew neck for the airborne experience. Her hair was styled in pigtail braids, which remained visible as the plane twisted through the sky.
Despite the intensity of the stunt, Sweeney remained calm throughout the plane’s movements. The footage showed her maintaining control of the camera as the aircraft turned upside down several times.
Sweeney also used a camera attached to her wrist to document the stunt. That setup allowed her to record the dramatic perspective from the top of the aircraft as it continued moving.

Her playful message to Cruise quickly received an appropriate response from the official Top Gun Instagram account. The account commented, “Feel the need for speed ✈️.”
The comment tied Sweeney’s stunt directly to Cruise’s famous reputation for high intensity action. Sweeney’s video offered a striking look at her own willingness to take on a dramatic challenge.
Only a few days before sharing the airplane footage, Sweeney gave followers another glimpse into her summer. Much of that time has been spent with her boyfriend, Scooter Braun.
Sweeney posted an Instagram carousel on Saturday, Aug. 22, featuring moments from a summer getaway. She captioned that post, “Camp '26,” alongside a superhero emoji.

For the occasion, Sweeney channeled iconic “Wonder Woman” actress Lynda Carter. She wore a corset costume inspired by Wonder Woman along with a coordinating headband.
Braun joined the superhero theme by dressing as Superman. The pair posed together while turning their lakeside escape into a colorful costumed affair.
The carousel also showed more relaxed scenes from their summer trip. Sweeney and Braun were pictured swimming, soaking up the sun, and singing karaoke together.
In one video, Sweeney, 28, balanced on an inflatable water obstacle course. Braun, 45, rode a jet ski nearby as she made her way across the floating setup.
The summer post highlighted a different kind of adventure than the airplane video. While the getaway included water activities and costumes, the later footage placed Sweeney directly on top of a plane performing repeated flips.
Sweeney and Braun first sparked romance rumors in 2025 after they reportedly first met at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding. Their relationship later became public through a post from Sweeney.
In April 2026, Sweeney confirmed their relationship by sharing a photograph of Braun embracing her on Instagram. The couple’s superhero costumes and lakeside activities offered another public look at their time together.
Her latest post, however, shifted attention back to the sky and her direct challenge to Cruise. Between the upside-down plane, the wrist camera, and the Top Gun response, Sweeney’s playful warning became the center of the stunt.
