Rosie O'Donnell closed out her week as guest host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday by taking more shots at President Donald Trump.

Her final monologue continued the combative tone that ran through her brief stint filling in for Jimmy Kimmel, as reported by Fox News.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here thanks to everyone who’s been watching this week, especially the hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House,” O'Donnell said.

She then thanked Kimmel for inviting her and for emphasizing the right to free speech.

“Most of all, I'd like to thank Jimmy Kimmel for inviting me to do this and for reminding everyone that we have the right to free speech in this country, whether orange Voldemort likes it or not,” she added. Kimmel was on summer break while O'Donnell hosted the program.

The White House responded through spokesperson Davis Ingle, who delivered a sharply worded statement to Fox News Digital.

“Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Ingle said.

O'Donnell also brought Natalie Harp into her Wednesday monologue while referring to remarks Democratic Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff made at a Georgia rally Sunday.

The White House and Republicans had criticized Ossoff's remarks earlier in the week.

“But I do have some bad news for President Petty Roosevelt. That’s all I’m going to say about you tonight, sweetheart. Time to go nighty night,” O'Donnell told the audience.

“You got to realize it’s time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in,” she continued. Her comment drew gasps and applause from the studio audience.

On Tuesday, O'Donnell credited Trump with putting her back in the spotlight.

She had moved to Ireland after Trump won the 2024 election, but she later returned to the United States to guest host “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and appear on several podcasts.

In a 2025 TikTok video, O'Donnell said she would consider returning to America “when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there.” Her Tuesday monologue again focused heavily on the president.

“I’m back in the spotlight all thanks to President Oompa J. Loompa, who is watching us this evening from inside a catering cart,” O'Donnell said.

“You know, I couldn’t have done it without you, sweetie. You brought me back just like you did with fascism and the measles.”

During her first guest hosting episode on Monday, O'Donnell explained her decision to relocate to Ireland. She opened by mocking Trump's longtime dislike of the late-night program.

“The president hated ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Buckle up, people,” she told the audience.

“I read that Project 2025 and said, ‘Got to get myself out of here, you know,’ and I decided to go to Ireland, a place where people are driven to drink regardless of who's running their country,” O'Donnell said.

She also recalled how her teenager told classmates about the planned move.

According to O'Donnell, her child said, “‘I’m very sorry. I won’t be able to graduate sixth grade with you. I’m being forced to move to another country because the president of the United States hates my mother. But in all fairness, I believe my mother hates him more.’”

O'Donnell then looked into the camera without naming Trump and said, “Hi, I know you’re watching.”

O'Donnell and Trump have exchanged insults for years, and Trump threatened to revoke her citizenship after she moved to Ireland in 2025.

During a 2025 appearance on the Irish radio show “Sunday with Miriam,” O'Donnell, 64, said Trump continued to use her as a target.

“He still uses me as a punching bag and a way to sort of rile his base,” she said.

“And I'm very proud to be opposed to every single thing he says and does and represents. I think he's a racist, and he's misogynistic, and he's sexist, and he is a danger to women and children all over the world,” O'Donnell continued.

Their feud dates to 2006, when O'Donnell criticized Trump while hosting “The View.” Her comments concerned his decision to be lenient toward a Miss USA winner accused of drug use and other bad behavior.

Trump responded at the time by calling O'Donnell a “real loser” and “a woman out of control.”

O'Donnell later told People in 2014 that Trump's criticism was the worst bullying she had experienced, while Trump replied that she had started the conflict.
