A tour bus carrying the rock band Buckcherry was involved in a fatal multi-vehicle crash on a South Carolina highway early Friday morning. One person was killed, while no members of the band were hurt, as reported by Page Six.

The crash happened on Interstate 26 near Spartanburg as Buckcherry traveled from its most recent performance.

The band had played at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina, before the reported highway wreck.

FOX Carolina reported that the person who died had stopped on the highway and gotten out of their car. The circumstances surrounding why the person stopped or exited the vehicle were not stated.

Buckcherry addressed the death in a statement following the crash. The band expressed sympathy for the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life in the collision.

“Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life,” the “Crazy Bitch” singers said in the statement.

The exact way the Buckcherry tour bus became mixed up in the multi-vehicle wreck was not immediately known.

Authorities confirmed that the fatal collision occurred ahead of the bus, according to the statement released by the band.

Although the tour bus was involved in the highway crash, none of the Buckcherry members were injured. The band consists of Josh Todd, Stevie Dacanay, Billy Rowe, Kelly LeMieux and Francis Ruiz.

The crash occurred while Buckcherry was traveling as part of its “Roar Like Thunder” tour. That tour takes its name from the rock band’s 2025 studio album, which is also titled “Roar Like Thunder.”

Before the crash, the band’s latest performance had taken place at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina. The tour bus was traveling from that performance when it became involved in the wreck near Spartanburg.

Despite the fatal crash, Buckcherry’s scheduled performance in Fort Lauderdale will proceed as planned. No changes to that performance were announced following the deadly incident on Interstate 26.
