Chuck Todd has done it again, proving that outrage is his favorite American pastime.
The former Meet the Press moderator took to his podcast to air out his grievances over what he considers a national tragedy.
His complaint?
That President Donald Trump supposedly “ruined” America’s 250th birthday celebration. Yes, in Todd’s world, a patriotic bash filled with fireworks and fighters is somehow an assault on democracy itself.

Todd, ever the drama king, lamented on his Chuck ToddCast that he felt “betrayed as an American” by Trump’s Fourth of July festivities.
He spoke as if the Republic itself had fallen because the President dared to make Independence Day exciting again.
It was a performance worthy of an Emmy, if the category were “Most Outraged Journalist Pretending To Be Neutral.”
The event Todd is so furious about included the UFC “Freedom 250” fights held at the White House.

That’s right. Mixed martial arts celebrated alongside American independence.
For normal Americans, that probably sounded like a great time.
But for Todd, it was “a cage on the White House lawn, a national birthday turned into his own personal political rally.”
To him, celebrating freedom with muscle, grit, and pride is apparently a grave sin.
He went further, declaring that Trump had “ruined the American brand” and “sullied” the nation’s reputation.

Todd’s meltdown was more revealing of liberal fragility than any supposed abuse of patriotism on Trump’s part.
Todd did offer one shred of hope to his disillusioned listeners, suggesting that maybe, just maybe, Americans could “make up for this soured celebration” at the nation’s 275th birthday in 2051.
It was an unintentionally hilarious moment.
Apparently, the media’s plan for national healing now requires a 25-year waiting period.

The reality is this: the sideshow isn’t Trump’s party planning. It’s the left’s refusal to join the celebration of this country.
Democrats in several states skipped the American State Fair, governors refused to send delegations, and activists vandalized the Reflecting Pool and the National Mall after complaining about “optics.”
Then they had the nerve to accuse Trump of being unpatriotic.
Polls have already shown that Democrats are increasingly uncomfortable expressing pride in America, and Todd’s tantrum fits neatly into that narrative.
When you can’t stand your own country, it’s easier to project your disappointment onto the people who still love it.
Chuck Todd’s fury is really contempt for the flag cloaked as indignation toward Trump.
Remember back in the Biden years, when the left was perfectly content to watch Independence Hall bathed in red light while the President accused half the nation of being fascists?
No media lectures about dividing the country then.
No calls for national healing.
Todd didn’t show up shaking his fists over that grotesque display.
But Trump invites Americans to celebrate freedom, and suddenly the press paints it as authoritarian theater.
This pattern has grown old. Every time Trump does something patriotic, Democrats clutch their pearls.
Every time they feel alienated by pride in America, they blame Trump for driving a wedge.
It is never about policy or principle with them. It is always about control of the narrative.
Chuck Todd’s gripe isn’t really about a speech or a cage on the lawn. It’s about who is commanding America’s attention.
He sees a President who has reignited national pride, and he cannot stand that the crowd cheers louder for Trump than for his media tribe.
The left likes to claim moral ownership of patriotism while despising those who live it out loud.
Had Kamala Harris or Joe Biden still been in the White House, you can bet that the press would have called any large-scale celebration a “historic moment of unity.”
They would have hailed the UFC fighters as symbols of American toughness and diversity.
But with Trump back in office, even fireworks are grounds for panic.
Todd’s teary declaration that Trump “stole” America’s birthday says more about his own ego than about patriotism.
It was never stolen.
The fireworks still went off.
The songs still played.
The crowds still wanted to celebrate this country.
The only people who felt robbed were those whose entire identity depends on being miserable that Donald Trump still commands the stage.
In the end, Chuck Todd’s outrage is just another example of the left’s endless quest to find offense where there is pride.
They cannot join Americans in celebration because genuine love of country exposes how hollow their own cynicism has become.
That’s why Todd’s next therapy session with the flag might have to wait until 2051, when he hopes we will all “make it up.”
For the rest of America, though, the Fourth of July was a roaring success, no matter how many journalists needed a fainting couch after watching it unfold.
