Democrats in New Jersey continue to prove that their soft policies on illegal immigration only embolden agitators who think they can terrorize federal officers without consequence.

The latest example came to a satisfying end when Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the arrest of the man seen on video threatening to kill Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and their families outside the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark.

For weeks, activists and leftist protest groups have gathered outside the facility to “stand in solidarity” with illegal aliens detained there.

These self-described humanitarians claim conditions inside are “inhumane,” while their actions outside have turned violent and dangerous.

Instead of peacefully petitioning, they have cursed, screamed, blocked roadways, and even tried to provoke agents into physical confrontation.

One particularly vile agitator captured national attention when he was caught on camera making explicit threats of murder toward a federal agent’s family.

The man shouted at officers, “I saw your face, I’ll kill your whole family.”

Many might assume authorities would treat such statements as idle talk, but Blanche made clear on national television that the Department of Justice took it seriously and would track him down. Blanche’s promise was simple: “We will find him.”

True to his word, Blanche later confirmed that the suspect, 27-year-old Nicholas Matthew Scelfo of Brooklyn, had been arrested.

Scelfo now faces federal felony charges for threatening to kill a law enforcement officer and his family.

The FBI reportedly raided his home before taking him into custody.

Blanche’s post on X summed up the sentiment shared by many Americans fed up with leftist chaos: “FAFO.”

Scelfo’s arrest reveals more than just one radical activist’s violent nature.

According to reports, Scelfo participated in the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and more recently in demonstrations called “No Kings.”

These same movements often claim to be rooted in justice and equality while their ranks are filled with rioters who spit on police, vandalize property, and call for the dismantling of law enforcement.

While Governor Mikie Sherrill and other Democrat officials in New Jersey have spent their time blaming ICE and President Trump for the conflicts outside Delaney Hall, the real threat continues to come from their own base of radical supporters.

Sherrill promotes “sanctuary” policies that shield criminal aliens and tie the hands of immigration authorities, yet she remains silent as leftists openly threaten officers in the streets.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin praised the FBI and DOJ after Scelfo’s arrest.

He wrote, “Thank you to the FBI for arresting a rioter who threatened to kill an ICE officer and his family. Our officers are facing an 8,000 percent increase in death threats as they risk their lives to arrest the worst of the worst. The President and I will always stand with our law enforcement.”

His remarks highlight something the mainstream media rarely admits: the real victims in these so-called “protests” are the law enforcement officers targeted simply for doing their jobs.

Blanche did not stop there. Only hours after confirming Scelfo’s arrest, he announced another criminal case tied to the same violent demonstrations.

Defendant Brendan John Geier was charged with physically assaulting ICE officers, allegedly kicking and biting them during a confrontation.

Blanche said, “We will not tolerate the vicious attacks on ICE officers we’ve seen in New Jersey. These riots are clearly not peaceful protests, as you can see from the photos of these horrific wounds.”
