Kari Lake said Arizona remains at the center of election integrity concerns during an interview with Greg Kelly, arguing that a “day of reckoning” is approaching for Maricopa County and calling for significant changes to how elections are conducted across the country.
Lake made the remarks during a discussion with Kelly about election policy and the push for the SAVE AMERICA Act, which supporters say is intended to strengthen voter verification and election security measures.
Greg Kelly opened the conversation by asking Lake for her reaction to the issues discussed during the broadcast.
“Kari Lake, welcome back. I know you have you have some thoughts on all of this. How do you How are you and what do you think?” Kelly asked.

Lake responded by describing Arizona as the focal point of election-related controversies in the United States.
“I think a day of reckoning is coming in Maricopa County and Arizona, the really ground zero for the most corrupt elections in our country, and there's some stiff competition,” Lake said.
She continued by naming several other states where she believes election concerns have also emerged.
“I mean, I could name a few states, including Georgia and Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and others,” Lake said.

Lake tied those concerns to the effort by President Donald Trump to promote the SAVE AMERICA Act, which she said is designed to address election integrity issues.
“And this is why the President is pushing for the SAVE AMERICA Act. It really is about saving America,” Lake said.
During the interview, Lake said she had been watching Kelly’s program and referenced several political figures discussed earlier in the broadcast.
“I've been watching your program tonight, Greg and all of the malcontents in politics that you've talked about tonight, including man dot mandami,” she said.

Lake said the current election system raises questions for voters about how certain political figures obtain office.
“You know, sometimes you scratch your head and say, How do these people get into office? Are people really that dumb?” Lake said.
She then said she believes election procedures are the root of those concerns.
“But what it really is, I believe, is elections are really that bad,” Lake said.
Lake outlined several changes she said would address election integrity concerns.
“And what we need to see is legal voters voting, not illegals,” Lake said.
“We need to see our voter rolls cleaned up, and we need to show proof of citizenship to vote and have paper ballots, hand counted, no machines and no mail in ballots.”
Lake said she believes exceptions should exist for certain circumstances involving absentee voting.

“Except for if you're traveling or if you are in the military, or if there's some sort of an emergency,” she added.
Lake said she believes those measures would simplify the election process and provide greater certainty about election results.
“It's really simple to clean up our elections, and then we can know that the people we elect are really there because they won,” Lake said.
The conversation then turned to the lack of congressional support for the SAVE AMERICA Act, with Lake suggesting that opposition to the measure may be driven by political concerns.
“Why do you think all these people in Congress and in the Senate. Don't want to pass the SAVE Act,” Lake said.
She then offered her view about why lawmakers may resist the legislation.
“I think a lot of them are, are very worried that if we really have truly honest elections, they won't be sitting in the Senate,” Lake said.
“They won't be sitting in the House of Representatives.”
