FBI Director Kash Patel faced pointed questions Tuesday during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing after whistleblower records were released showing the Bureau’s targeting of Republican organizations under an operation called “Arctic Frost.”
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) led the questioning, citing internal records that suggested the investigation went far beyond President Donald Trump.
Grassley detailed that Arctic Frost, initiated by FBI Agent Thibeau, was later used as a foundation for Special Counsel Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump.

“At your nomination hearing, I made public records that whistleblowers provide me about Arctic Frost,” Grassley said.
“Arctic Frost was the FBI case opened and approved by anti-Trump FBI Agent Thibeau. Arctic Frost then became Jack Smith’s elector case against then-citizen Trump and now-President Trump.”
According to Grassley, newly obtained documents demonstrate that the scope of Arctic Frost was significantly larger than previously understood.
“The case was expanded to Republican organizations,” Grassley said.

“Some examples of the group that Wray and FBI sought to place under political investigation included the Republican National Committee, Republican Attorney General’s Association, and various Trump political groups.”
Grassley told the committee that in total, 92 Republican targets were placed under the investigative scope of Arctic Frost.
“On that political list was one of Charlie Kirk’s groups, Turning Point USA,” he added.
The Iowa senator argued that the evidence showed the FBI was not simply investigating Trump but using the probe to weaken Republican political operations.
“In other words, Arctic Frost wasn’t just a case to politically investigate Trump,” Grassley said.
“It was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.”
Grassley noted that the information is now being made public.
“So today, Sen. Johnson and I are making these records public for the entire country to see, and I hope a lot of people are interested in seeing what government can do when various agencies have a political agenda,” he said.
The hearing also addressed the prosecution of former Trump adviser Peter Navarro. Grassley said his investigation revealed bias within the Bureau.
“My investigative work has also exposed the political way in which Peter Navarro was investigated and prosecuted,” he said.
Grassley cited one FBI agent’s reaction to Navarro’s charges: “When FBI Agent Thibeau found out that Biden’s DOJ would prosecute Navarro, he said, ‘Wow, great.’ That’s a quote-unquote.”

The Judiciary Committee session highlighted concerns about the integrity of federal investigations, with Republicans pressing Patel on what steps the FBI would take to address claims of politicization.

Time to shut the FBI done and Kash revamp the whole hiring
Thibeau needs to be held accountable. And all those who misused their position in or out of the FBI. Start with Adam Schiff, Kissinger, and Liz Chene to name a few.
for many years, even decades,the repubs have had a million chances to jail the clinton crime family, the fraud barry sotoro, the biden crime family, the fbi crime family, the cia crime family, district judges, federal judges, senators, representatives and others but even this train load of evidence…..so with all this time with evidence dating back to the 1990s when clinton was president to the present and the repubs have done nothing but just what is going on now….accumulating evidence and then they do nothing….zero….zilch….people this is a joke of the american people….the honest patriot american is being made a fool of….we are fools for not totally supervising these people we send to washington but not enough of us really care i am seeing for decades….even the guy that started the fbi….j.edgar hoover did not ever believe there was a mafia and that was a multi billion dollar organization in the 30s 40s 50 60s….all while he was the leader of the fbi….and america slept on this or as what is happening now…..just stuck their heads in a big pile of sand and left it there for generations to take care of the filth and trash that was governing this country..and now it will take many years to clean out the embedded rot that is in every department of our government and still president trump is not getting all the help he deserves as he is really trying to clean out this filth and that the employers (voters) have allowed to happen…..so where does the problem lie?…….GO LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
