Investigative journalist John Solomon has revealed a previously undisclosed email from former Obama Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates that explicitly instructed FBI agents to halt a criminal corruption investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

The document, uncovered by FBI Director Kash Patel, is described as a “smoking gun” by Solomon.

According to the findings, the investigation had been running quietly in three separate FBI field offices — New York, Washington, D.C., and Little Rock — as a fully predicated criminal case.

The probe examined whether Hillary Clinton, while serving as Secretary of State, operated a pay-to-play scheme that traded official favors for large donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Judicial Watch had previously exposed Clinton’s use of a private email server for official business.

Emails obtained by the watchdog group showed that Clinton gave preferential treatment to Clinton Foundation donors during her tenure at the State Department.

Federal Judge Royce Lamberth called her use of private emails “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency.”

According to Solomon, FBI agents believed they had gathered evidence suggesting foreign nationals and wealthy donors sought access and influence within the State Department in exchange for substantial contributions to the foundation, which was run by Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton.

Despite these findings, the investigation was reportedly impeded at the highest levels.

Then–FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, whose wife received campaign contributions from a Clinton ally while he attended a meeting to solicit those funds, allegedly ordered that no investigative action be taken without his personal approval.

Four U.S. Attorneys’ offices were approached by FBI agents seeking assistance with subpoenas, grand jury proceedings, and evidence gathering. Solomon reports that three of the four offices declined to assist, leaving agents without the tools needed to advance the case.

The most significant revelation centers on the directive from Sally Yates. “The Deputy Attorney General for Barack Obama, Sally Yates, explicitly told the FBI: Shut it down, meaning the corruption probes of Hillary Clinton,” Solomon said.

“Tonight, we’re going to tell you about the other Clinton investigation — one that was running in three separate FBI offices: New York, Washington, and Little Rock. It was a predicated criminal investigation that was examining whether Hillary Clinton ran a pay-to-play scheme that delivered favors from her perch as Secretary of State, while foreigners and others paid large sums of money to her family foundation — the Clinton Foundation — run by Bill Clinton and their daughter, eventually Chelsea Clinton.

Three separate agencies, three separate bureaus — offices of the FBI — believed they had predicated evidence to pursue. But every time they tried to move the ball down the road in the shadows of the 2016 election, they got shut down. I mean, they got shut down at the highest levels of their agency.”

Solomon added, “Andrew McCabe… eventually was conflicted out, but not before he gave the order to his agents that: You won’t investigate or do anything on this unless I approve it.”

According to Solomon, “four different U.S. Attorneys’ offices under Barack Obama were asked for help… All three of those four offices told the agents: You’re on your own. We will not assist you in your pursuit of criminal charges against Hillary Clinton.”

The newly revealed email from Yates is now in the hands of Patel, who has said he intends to provide it, along with other Obama-era emails, to Congress.

Solomon said prosecutors have come forward who are willing to cooperate with Attorney General Pam Bondi and Patel.

“This is the beginning,” Solomon concluded.

“The first part was pursuing false allegations against Republicans. The second was forming a protection racket around Democrats — a racket around Democrats like Hillary Clinton and the Biden family and others, including Joe Biden himself, when it came to classified documents.”
