Veteran musician Billy Joel has canceled all scheduled concerts after being diagnosed with a neurological condition known as normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), his representatives confirmed in a public statement this week, as reported by USA Today.

The announcement, made via Joel’s official Instagram account, stated the condition has worsened due to recent live performances.

"This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance," the statement read. Joel is now undergoing physical therapy and has been advised by his doctors to step away from the stage for the foreseeable future.

Normal pressure hydrocephalus is a disorder marked by a buildup of fluid in the brain’s ventricles. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the condition can lead to difficulties with memory, walking, and bladder control.

The tour included collaborations with fellow iconic artists such as Rod Stewart, Sting, and Stevie Nicks.
