House Republicans are ramping up their investigation into the development and disclosure timeline of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, following new claims that the pharmaceutical company deliberately withheld positive trial data to avoid boosting President Donald Trump before the 2020 election.

The House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), disclosed letters sent this week to Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla and former Pfizer vaccine executive Phil Dormitzer.

The letters seek communications and internal documents tied to the company’s testing, data reporting, and public announcements related to its COVID-19 vaccine.

The inquiry follows reporting from The Wall Street Journal indicating federal prosecutors are reviewing statements made by Dormitzer during his current employment at Pfizer rival GSK.

According to GSK, Dormitzer allegedly told colleagues in late 2024 that Pfizer intentionally delayed the release of successful trial results until after the November 2020 election.

GSK stated that Dormitzer, visibly distressed, visited the company’s human resources department shortly after the 2024 election to request a transfer to Canada.

He allegedly voiced concerns that a second Trump administration might investigate his role in the timing of Pfizer’s vaccine announcement.

Dormitzer reportedly told coworkers that the decision to delay results was not a coincidence and that Pfizer’s top three research and development executives were involved in slowing clinical testing to ensure that data would not be finalized before the election.

He reportedly clarified that the delay was related to trial progress, not suppression of completed findings.

Pfizer has not publicly responded to the claims. Dormitzer denies making the statements attributed to him.

Pfizer first announced its vaccine was over 90% effective on November 9, 2020—two days after most major media outlets projected Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential election.

The company had not yet submitted all safety data at the time, and questions later emerged about undisclosed trial deaths.

Trump, who launched Operation Warp Speed to expedite vaccine development, has repeatedly stated that Pfizer avoided crediting his administration.

In a post-election statement, he claimed the company “didn’t have the courage” to release the news before the vote.

The Judiciary Committee is requesting Pfizer and Dormitzer provide documents and communications related to vaccine testing and trial data dating from March 1, 2020, through November 30, 2021. The committee also requested Dormitzer’s communications beginning November 16, 2022.

The investigation arrives as scrutiny of COVID vaccine safety and efficacy continues to grow.

Recent peer-reviewed research is prompting further questions about the long-term impact of mRNA vaccines.

A study published in Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics found spike proteins from mRNA COVID vaccines can remain in the body for up to 245 days post-vaccination.

A separate study by Yale researchers currently under peer review claims persistence can extend to nearly two years in some individuals.

Meanwhile, a peer-reviewed study from Turkey, published in the journal Vaccines, suggests that both mRNA and traditional COVID vaccines may impair ovarian function in rats.

The researchers reported significant reductions in ovarian follicle counts, especially in the mRNA group, calling for further research into potential implications for human fertility.

Texas physician Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, who previously won a legal fight that forced the FDA to revise its statements on ivermectin, said she continues to see vaccine-related injuries in her practice.

“Four years after their rollout, I continue to see patients severely harmed by these shots,” Bowden wrote on X.

Another study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that both underactive and overactive thyroid conditions were significantly elevated in mRNA vaccine recipients 12 months after injection.

Conducted by researchers in Taiwan, the study tracked matched groups of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals over a year.

The Department of Health and Human Services under President Trump is reportedly planning to end routine COVID vaccine recommendations for pregnant women, teens, and children—citing recent data and shifts in public health strategy.

Republican lawmakers have remained supportive of the original goals of Operation Warp Speed but continue to press for transparency on long-term risks, especially in light of claims that critical safety and efficacy information may have been delayed or withheld during the 2020 campaign.

The House investigation is ongoing.
