As Bush and his teammates gathered around second base to celebrate the game-winning hit, a Jackson State player ran in from left field and attempted to disrupt the celebration.

What started as a tense moment quickly escalated into a full-scale fight.

As tempers flared, players from both teams became involved in the altercation.

Coaches and umpires rushed onto the field in an attempt to separate the two sides, but players continued to go after each other despite efforts to restore order.

The situation eventually deescalated, but not before multiple punches were thrown and both teams were pulled into the scuffle.

Following the incident, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) took swift action, handing down significant penalties to both programs.

According to TMZ Sports, nine players in total were suspended—six from Prairie View A&M and three from Jackson State.

In addition to the suspensions, the SWAC also issued fines of $25,000 to each school as part of the disciplinary measures.
