White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t mince words when responding to an arrogant French politician demanding that the United States return the Statue of Liberty.

During a Monday press briefing, Leavitt delivered a scathing response, making it clear that America isn’t about to hand over one of its most treasured symbols, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Last week, French leftist and European Parliament member Raphaël Glucksmann threw a fit, claiming that America no longer represents the values behind the iconic monument.

The statue, a gift from France in 1886, has long stood as a beacon of freedom. But Glucksmann, seizing the opportunity to pander to his leftist supporters, argued that America under President Trump has abandoned its commitment to liberty.

At a gathering of his Place Publique movement, Glucksmann whined about Trump’s foreign policy, his commitment to scientific freedom, and his economic decisions.

“We’re going to say to the Americans who have chosen to side with tyrants, to the Americans who fired researchers for demonstrating scientific freedom, ‘Give us back the Statue of Liberty. We gave it to you as a gift, but apparently you despise it. So it will be just fine here at home'”

Glucksmann then attempted to position France as the new home for American innovators, saying, “If you want to fire your best researchers, if you want to fire all the people who, through their freedom and their sense of innovation, their taste for doubt and research, have made your country the world’s leading power, then we’re going to welcome them.”

Enter Karoline Leavitt, who was asked about Glucksmann’s ridiculous demand by Fox News’ Peter Doocy. Doocy, after covering the Houthi terrorist attack on the USS Harry Truman and the Biden auto-pen scandal, shifted gears to highlight the latest European tantrum.

“Something different,” Doocy began.

“There is now a member of the European Parliament from France who does not think the US represents the values of the Statue of Liberty anymore. They want the Statue of Liberty back. So, is President Trump going to send the Statue of Liberty back to France?”

Leavitt didn’t hesitate.

“Absolutely not,” she shot back before delivering an epic history lesson to Glucksmann.

“My advice to that unnamed low-level French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States Of America that the French are not speaking German right now, she added. “So, they should be very grateful to our great country.”

Ouch. Someone better get Glucksmann some ice for that burn.

Once again, we see the same tired anti-American rhetoric from European elites who never seem to mind when the U.S. swoops in to clean up their messes.

France and the rest of Europe have benefited time and again from American leadership, yet they never miss a chance to act superior.

Maybe instead of throwing temper tantrums about a statue, they should reflect on why they still rely on American strength to maintain order in the world.

As for the Statue of Liberty? It’s staying right where it belongs—standing tall in New York Harbor, reminding the world what real freedom looks like.
