The Baltimore Ravens’ playoff hopes came to an end Sunday with a narrow 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round at Highmark Stadium.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson expressed his frustration after the game, taking responsibility for key mistakes and reflecting on missed opportunities that cost the team a chance to advance.

The Ravens’ season-ending loss featured a series of pivotal moments, including turnovers and a missed two-point conversion that proved critical.

Tight end Mark Andrews dropped a potential game-tying two-point attempt, and Jackson committed two fumbles and an interception that shifted momentum to Buffalo.

In the second quarter, Jackson fumbled, allowing Bills linebacker Von Miller to recover the ball and return it to the Baltimore 24-yard line.

The play set up a Buffalo touchdown that broke a 7-7 tie. Jackson also threw an interception in the first quarter, halting a promising drive.

Another costly turnover occurred in the fourth quarter when Andrews fumbled after a 16-yard reception that would have placed the Ravens in Buffalo territory.

“Every time we’re in situations like this, turnovers play a factor. Penalties play a factor,” Jackson said after the game, addressing the team’s mistakes.

“Tonight, the turnovers, we can’t have that, and that’s why we lost the game. As you can see, we’re moving the ball wonderfully, it’s [just] hold onto the ball. I’m sorry for my language, but this is annoying. I’m tired of this.”

Despite the frustration, Jackson had a solid overall performance, completing 18 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

He also rushed for 39 yards. However, his turnovers were a focal point in the game and a significant factor in the Ravens’ defeat.

The Ravens quarterback, now in his seventh season with the team, has consistently led Baltimore to the playoffs, with appearances in six of those seasons.

However, the team has advanced past the divisional round just once during his tenure, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in last year’s AFC Championship.

Jackson also spoke about Andrews’ missed two-point conversion and fumble, emphasizing that the loss was not solely the tight end’s fault.

“We’re a team,” Jackson said. “…It’s not his fault. We’re not gonna put that on Mark.”

The Ravens’ loss continued a frustrating playoff trend for the franchise and its star quarterback.

Despite consistent regular-season success, the team has been unable to capture a Super Bowl title during Jackson’s tenure.

As the Ravens face another offseason without a championship, questions remain about how the team can take the next step.

Jackson’s remarks highlight the need for better execution in high-pressure situations. “We’re moving the ball wonderfully,” he said, “but we have to hold onto the ball.”

For the Ravens, the focus now shifts to regrouping and addressing the issues that have hindered their playoff success.

Meanwhile, the Bills advance to the AFC Championship, where they will continue their pursuit of a Super Bowl berth.
