The co-hosts of ABC’s The View delivered a fiery exchange on Monday as Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro sparred over whether Americans should “panic” about Donald Trump returning to the White House.
The conversation was a stark reminder of the divide between those urging calm and those who see urgency in preparing for what they perceive as political threats.
As reported by The New York Post, Goldberg, the show’s liberal anchor, urged viewers to focus on their families and responsibilities over the holidays, brushing off the need for alarm.

“Listen, he makes lots and lots and lots of noise,” Goldberg said about Trump. “He says he’s going to do all these things. … He does this to keep you all in a panic.”
She continued, “All we have to do from now until January 21st is be with our families. Be with our kids. Do our jobs. Make sure our checks don’t bounce. Make sure that we are taking care of ourselves and our families.”
Goldberg attempted to reassure the audience that Trump’s actions, like his rhetoric, would face the slow grind of bureaucracy, saying, “Things seem to move slowly,” and pointing out that after his 2016 win, Trump “didn’t come get Hillary Clinton.”
However, Navarro, known for her role as an anti-Trump Republican strategist, was not having it.
She accused Goldberg of speaking from a position of privilege, adding, “We have the luxury of saying that because we’re legal. We are successful. … If you are an illegal immigrant in this country, you’re not going to be not in a panic.”
Navarro added that women working in vulnerable government positions also have reason to worry. “If you are a woman working for the Department of Defense, you have a right to be in a panic!” she insisted.
Goldberg, clearly frustrated, shot back, accusing Navarro of keeping people unnecessarily stressed. “Ana, you tell people to stay fraught and like this,” Goldberg said.
Navarro defended her stance, arguing, “No! I’m telling people to prepare, Whoopi. I’m telling people to prepare.”
The heated back-and-forth, which lasted nearly three minutes, highlighted a fundamental disagreement on how to approach the future under Trump.
While Goldberg seemed to advocate for calm resilience, Navarro emphasized the need for vigilance, saying, “We can’t be relaxing and enjoying Christmas when winter is coming.”
Goldberg responded, “Winter is here. Winter has been with us. … My point is, we can lay down and do nothing for the next 15 days and then be freaking out for the next four or two years.”
Navarro doubled down, reiterating that Goldberg’s position reflects a level of privilege many Americans don’t share. “We’re in a privileged position that a lot of people who are going to be under his attack are not,” she said.
WATCH: A shouting match broke out on The View over President Trump’s plans. Ana Navarro encouraged viewers to start panicking, and Whoopsie Goldberg stepped in and said, “WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT WE’RE PANICKING FOR…”

As the conversation continued, Goldberg urged viewers not to buy into fear-mongering. “They’re throwing 50,000 things at you to make you do this,” she said, mimicking panic. “I’m saying don’t buy into that. When we know what we’re fighting, we’ll get out and fight.”
This fiery exchange underscored the contrasting perspectives among even anti-Trump voices, revealing the challenge of balancing calm preparation with the need for action.

Why anyone would waist there time watching these low life women on the view I wouldn’t even waste a guess.
Soon these people will be looking for a job.
every thing went downhill when the Democrats took over. Trump’s Presidency saved this country after the Democrats brought it to its knees during the Democrats reign. Trump will bring this country back to what it should be, a productive government that will help people come back to life since we have suffered with all kinds of things under the democrats. Namely a few, high cost of living with food and gas going up and up, food is still high and some shelves are empty. gas has come down a fraction. Trump proved in his first Presidency he can do it all over again.
It’s amazing how Navarro doesn’t care about the people who are struggling right now and have been for a while because they can’t afford shelter and food … working people. Public policy caused this privation. The globalists are destabilizing welfare societies like ours with uncontrolled migration and inflation. The goal is to shrink the middle class, pick them off, one by one, put them in worse and worse circumstances. Why? Because the middle class is the main group that can fight against tyranny.
