Piers Morgan, the outspoken British journalist, didn’t hold back during a fiery exchange on his podcast, Piers Morgan Uncensored.
On Monday, Morgan confronted left-wing journalist Taylor Lorenz after she appeared to smirk during a discussion about the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
As reported by The Independent Journal Review, the conversation centered on the arrest of Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old suspect charged with Thompson’s murder in New York City.

Morgan accused Lorenz of finding humor in the tragedy. “I find it unbelievable. What are you laughing at?” Morgan snapped.
Lorenz denied she found the situation amusing but insisted the murder had brought attention to the healthcare system in America.
In her defense, Lorenz launched into a critique of the U.S. healthcare system, calling it “barbaric” and blaming it for the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans each year.
“You’re right, we shouldn’t go around shooting each other with vigilante justice,” Lorenz conceded. However, she doubled down, saying, “It is a good thing that this murder has led to America, really the media elites and politicians in this country paying attention to this issue for the first time.”
Morgan wasn’t buying it. The journalist, who has firsthand experience with America’s healthcare system, pushed back against Lorenz’s claims. Republican commentator Tomi Lahren joined the segment, slamming Lorenz for “celebrating” the tragedy and accusing the left of endorsing political violence.
Lahren didn’t mince words: “Liberals like Taylor Lorenz always find a way to justify violence when it fits their narrative. This is sick.”
Morgan stepped in again, visibly frustrated.
“Taylor, I don’t mean to be rude, but why the f*ck are you laughing all the time?” he demanded. Lorenz, unshaken, claimed she was laughing at Lahren’s “insane mischaracterization” of public outrage over healthcare.
“It has nothing to do with Occupy Wall Street. This is a feeling that people feel across the left and the right. We do not think that this health care system is murdering, again, thousands of innocent Americans who, by the way, Tomi, also have families, also have children. These people are being killed by our barbaric and evil for-profit health care system.” she argued.
Adding fuel to the fire, Lorenz attempted to clarify her earlier remarks, saying she was “joyful” the tragedy sparked discussion but reiterated her belief that systemic changes were essential.
“UnitedHealthcare will just appoint a new ghoulish CEO. The point is that we need to fix these systems so that, again, people like Brian or whoever is in charge of these companies stops murdering tens of thousands of innocent Americans,” she said.
Lorenz’s controversial comments extended beyond the podcast. In a now-deleted tweet, she responded to a Blue Cross Blue Shield policy with: “And people wonder why we want these executives dead.”
The backlash was swift. Vox Media, her employer at the time, opted not to renew her contract. While Vox claimed the decision was unrelated to her inflammatory tweets, the timing raised eyebrows.
The clash highlighted a disturbing trend among far-left commentators who rationalize violence under the guise of “justice.” It’s yet another example of the liberal double standard—where outrage only matters when it serves their agenda.
