Podcast host Joe Rogan shared an inside scoop on Tuesday, revealing that Vice President Kamala Harris attempted to set strict conditions for a potential interview with him.

According to Rogan, Harris’s team made repeated contact with his representatives to discuss logistics. However, Rogan was quick to point out that the VP’s camp didn’t just offer dates and times—they also apparently wanted to control what topics he could and couldn’t address, specifically avoiding the issue of “marijuana legalization,” as reported by Fox News.

In a characteristic no-nonsense fashion, Rogan expressed his surprise. “I think they had requirements on things that she didn’t want to talk about, she didn’t want to talk about marijuana legalization, which I thought was hilarious,”

Rogan remarked on his podcast. Harris’s record on marijuana prosecution, as a former California attorney general, has been a frequent target for criticism given the current climate pushing for legalization and reform.

Interestingly, the discussions didn’t end there. Rogan went on to share that Harris’s team not only wanted him to travel to Washington, D.C., for the sit-down but also limited the conversation to just an hour.

Rogan’s guest, comedian Adrienne Iapalucci, questioned why Harris seemed so eager to steer clear of the cannabis discussion. Rogan responded bluntly, “Because of her prosecuting record. She put a lot of people in jail for weed.”

The discussion around this proposed interview didn’t seem to go anywhere as Rogan claimed that, ultimately, the interview never happened. He revealed on Friday’s podcast that Harris’s campaign imposed “a few restrictions of things they didn’t want to talk about.”

Rogan’s response was straightforward: “I don’t give a f—, get her in here. Like, whatever you want to talk about.”

Rogan, who had recently sat down with President-elect Trump for a marathon three-hour conversation, contrasted the Harris campaign’s approach with his open conversation with Trump, a discussion that amassed over 36 million views on YouTube.

It was clear that Rogan felt the Harris campaign was both overly restrictive and unable to handle his direct approach.

In a no-holds-barred moment, Rogan described Harris as “a bad candidate” and criticized the overall state of her campaign.

He remarked, “I don’t know if she’s good at running things because you’d have to be behind the scenes to see how that works, but when it comes to talking off the top of her head, what she’s good at is a pre-rehearsed speech that she reads off a teleprompter. Pretty solid.”

With Rogan’s revelations, this incident further underscores the contrast between candidates who can face unscripted questions and those who prefer to keep discussions within comfortable, rehearsed boundaries.
