In a major shift for the next potential administration, former President Donald Trump has tapped Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to spearhead a much-needed overhaul of key federal agencies—the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The announcement comes as Kennedy, an independent candidate and longtime critic of current health and agricultural policies, confirmed Trump’s request for his leadership in “reorganizing” these influential agencies.

“President Trump has asked me to reorganize the public health agencies—the agencies that have portfolios that affect public health,” Kennedy told Breitbart News.

“So those would be the HHS agencies, and USDA as well. And to root out… the corruption, and the conflicts of interest; and to restore the traditions of gold-standard, empirically-based, evidence-based science and medicine, and to end the chronic disease epidemic. And he’s told me that he wants to see measurable results in the decline of chronic disease within two years. And I’ve promised him that we can do that.”

Kennedy’s commitment to reform is not only about cutting bureaucratic red tape but also about addressing the core issues that have fostered a chronic disease epidemic among Americans.

Trump’s vision, as presented through Kennedy’s plans, places a strong emphasis on measurable results and accountability—a refreshing approach compared to the status quo.

Kennedy, known for his advocacy of “Make America Healthy Again,” adapted Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan after throwing his support behind the former president in August.

Following his endorsement of Trump, Kennedy has faced opposition from Democrats, who once tried to prevent him from competing against President Joe Biden and later seemed eager to keep him on ballots to split Trump’s voter base.

While Kennedy managed to remove his name from some state ballots, he remains on others, signaling his continued influence in this race.

Though Trump has yet to confirm whether Kennedy will occupy a specific Cabinet position, the two are reportedly working on those details. Kennedy’s willingness to take on this challenge demonstrates a shared vision with Trump for a healthier, more robust America—one that prioritizes the people over bureaucracy.
