This is outright insanity. Every 4 years the exact same thing is done each and every time and you writers of the right act shocked and surprised to find it again rather than asking a simple question: Why don’t Republican Candidates end this vicious cycle and get off the train before it leaves the station? You don’t. Instead, we wait to see it happen again as if anything is going to change, like this is just a one off situation(it’s not). None of this was a surprise. They did everything they’ve always done before. They won’t do anything different until we give them no other option BUT to do something different, and that starts with the candidate.
People seem surprised at this.
