Nathan Wade, a key figure in the probe surrounding Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, has gone off the grid just as the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), ordered him to appear for questioning.
Wade, once romantically linked to Willis, has vanished, prompting concerns over his evasion of a congressional subpoena, as reported by Trending Politics News.
The committee’s spokesperson, Russell Dye, called Wade’s sudden disappearance “extremely unusual,” noting that Wade had been in communication with the committee before suddenly going silent. The investigation seeks to uncover whether Willis misused federal funds in her case against former President Donald Trump.

As Dye pointed out, Wade’s evasion of service is a rare occurrence, adding that the committee may now need to spend taxpayer dollars to locate him, possibly by hiring a private investigator or sending staff members to track him down, as reported by The Daily Caller.
Is Nathan Wade really hiding?
And are the US Marshall really looking all that hard?
He’s been seen in court recently, and he has been known to show up on the scene of traffic stops with #FaniWillis
He can’t be that hard to find

Wade’s involvement with Willis has drawn increased scrutiny since a judge ordered him to step down from his role in the Trump case earlier this year, following concerns about a potential conflict of interest.
Despite Wade’s claim that his relationship with Willis only began after his hiring in late 2021, evidence suggests otherwise. Cell phone records and testimony from a former friend of Willis indicate that the two were sharing an apartment long before he officially joined the team.
Wade reportedly earned up to $700,000 over two years while working on the Trump prosecution, a salary higher than Georgia’s top racketeering expert involved in the same case. Questions about favoritism and misuse of federal resources continue to swirl around Willis’s office.
This isn’t the first time Willis has been accused of dodging subpoenas. Earlier this year, she refused to accept one sent via email, forcing the U.S. Marshals to physically deliver it. She also defied a Georgia State Senate subpoena and ignored another request from a Trump co-defendant’s legal team.
Despite Wade’s departure from her office, he hasn’t stayed out of the spotlight. Wade has given multiple interviews, denying any nepotism and downplaying his relationship with Willis. However, a recent incident has added fuel to the fire.
Police bodycam footage captured Willis and Wade responding to the scene after Willis’s daughter was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Wade introduced himself as a “family friend,” contradicting his previous statements that their relationship had ended.

Meanwhile, Willis’s case against Trump seems to be on shaky ground. Trump’s attorneys have filed motions to dismiss the charges, citing “racial animus” after Willis publicly accused Trump of mocking her first name during a recent event. Every misstep by Willis is now being closely watched as her office faces intense public scrutiny.
