In the interview, Clinton argued that Trump remains a threat not only to the United States but also to the world, and suggested that the media should establish a consistent narrative to highlight these risks.

“The press needs to create a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is,” Clinton said during the interview. “He is a danger to our country and world.”

While discussing her concerns about Trump’s influence and the dangers he poses, Clinton also took aim at Americans who she believes have contributed to the spread of misinformation, particularly related to Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Clinton, who was the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, pointed to Russia’s efforts to interfere in the election, emphasizing how Russian actors played a role in boosting Trump’s candidacy.

She said that while it is crucial to indict the Russians responsible for this interference, Americans who participated in spreading disinformation should also face consequences.

“There were Russians engaged in direct election interference and boosting Trump back in 2016,” Clinton said. “But I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda, and whether they should be civilly or criminally charged would be something that would be a better deterrent.”

This call for potential legal action against Americans who use their First Amendment rights to say things Hillary Clinton doesn’t like was met with much criticism and people calling out the hypocrisy of her statements based upon the misinformation that she has spread.
