Veteran Democratic pollster Mark Penn is calling for a full investigation into ABC News following the controversial handling of this week’s presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

Penn, a former top adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton, raised concerns about whether the debate was intentionally rigged in favor of Harris. His call for a review comes after widespread criticism of the debate’s moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, for fact-checking Trump but giving Harris a free pass, as reported by Just The News.

Penn voiced his concerns on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast, suggesting ABC News should hire an outside law firm to examine internal communications.

“I don’t know how much of this was planned in advance,” Penn said, “but I think the suspicion is really quite high.” He emphasized that an independent review should investigate whether the debate moderators were prepped to fact-check only Trump, potentially tilting the debate’s outcome in favor of Harris.

The debate, which drew over 67 million viewers, has been criticized by both Republicans and Democrats for its apparent bias. Trump himself referred to the event as a “three-on-one” debate, implying the moderators were siding with Harris. Trump has since stated he won’t participate in another debate unless changes are made.

Penn also pointed out that Harris has successfully painted herself as a candidate for change, despite being the sitting vice president. However, he said the mainstream media’s glowing coverage of her campaign has been laughable. Penn’s analysis reflects a broader frustration among conservatives who feel the media is stacked against Trump and the GOP.

Further fueling the controversy, it’s been revealed that Harris shares a close relationship with Disney executive Dana Walden, who oversees ABC News. The New York Times uncovered that Walden and Harris are not only neighbors in a ritzy L.A. neighborhood but have been political allies for years, with Walden contributing to Harris’s campaigns since 2003.

This cozy relationship has raised additional eyebrows about possible media favoritism.

In addition to this, Victoria Taft from PJMedia revealed additional details about Kamala Harris’ ties to ABC News that the network had not disclosed. During ABC’s live coverage of the Biden Inauguration in 2021, moderator Linsey Davis openly boasted about being sorority sisters with Harris.

The debate controversy has led other veteran Democrats, such as Doug Schoen, to voice their displeasure.

The moderators were overly aggressive with Trump while giving Harris a free pass on her numerous false statements, including claims about Trump’s stance on abortion and the Charlottesville protests, as reported by Trending Politics News.

The lack of any challenge to Harris’s inaccuracies has further fueled suspicion that the debate was rigged.

ABC News has yet to respond to the mounting calls for an internal investigation, but it seems this controversy isn’t going away anytime soon.
