The growing chaos at the southern border has reached a new low, thanks to the Biden/Harris administration’s open-door policies.
Adding fuel to the fire, government-funded NGOs have been complicit in facilitating the illegal entry of what they euphemistically refer to as “migrants.” The disastrous effects are evident across the country, with Aurora, Colorado, being one of the most glaring examples. Here, Venezuelan gangs have overrun apartment complexes, extorting “rent” from innocent residents, as reported by Red State.
A recent City Journal article by Christina Buttons and Christopher F. Rufo details how these NGOs, backed by Biden’s administration, have played a significant role in this crisis.

Venezuelan migrants, some of whom belong to the notorious Tren de Aragua gang, began terrorizing apartment dwellers in Aurora. Armed invasions, attempted homicides, and gang-related arrests have turned this once-quiet suburb into a breeding ground for crime.
In one instance, local police had to clear out an entire complex after the city deemed it uninhabitable due to gang activity.
The big question: how did Venezuelan gang members end up in a Colorado suburb?
The disturbing answer points to the Biden administration, which, along with Denver authorities and publicly funded NGOs, orchestrated the influx. The result? Aurora has become a haven for criminal gangs, and, even worse, these so-called “charitable” organizations are making a tidy profit off the chaos.
At the heart of this problem is money. This case is not just another example of Washington’s wasteful spending; it’s a deliberate policy that puts American lives at risk.
Former President Trump has been vocal about the danger, pointing out that each day brings a new horror—whether it’s a murder, assault, or another gang-related crime.
Despite this, the Biden administration continues to use taxpayer dollars to fund programs that import crime into middle-sized American cities.
In one particularly chilling instance, Rufo highlighted on social media how following the money exposes the real motives behind this disaster. NGOs are raking in profits, while American citizens are left to suffer the consequences. What will it take for Washington to reverse course? We’ve already seen rapes, murders, and even the bizarre reports of Haitian immigrants slaughtering city park geese in the Midwest. The situation raises the terrifying question: will it take a large-scale attack on American soil before Washington wakes up?
Until the Biden administration stops funneling taxpayer dollars into these destructive programs, the American people will continue paying the price—both financially and with their safety.
