Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff, as revealed by their tax disclosures, made several donations to Legal Aid DC while she was Vice President. This legal organization is known for promoting anti-police rhetoric and sanctuary city policies.

These donations, totaling $1,000 annually in the years 2021, 2022, and 2023 (Documents at the bottom of the article), have drawn attention due to the firm’s history of advocating left-wing perspectives on law enforcement and immigration.

Legal Aid DC, which provides civil legal services for low-income individuals in Washington, D.C., has been vocal in its criticism of law enforcement and immigration law.

The group expressed concerns about increased policing in public housing amidst the protests and riots in 2020, and later expressed solidarity with the protests following George Floyd’s death, despite some turning into riots.

In addition, the firm supported the Sanctuary Values Act which aimed to establish DC as a sanctuary city, limiting cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

This aligns with Harris’s prior statements advocating for the decriminalization of illegal border crossing and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s support for turning Minnesota into a sanctuary state.

The choice of Walz as her running mate has intensified criticism due to his handling of the riots in Minneapolis and St. Paul in 2020, while his backing of legislation providing benefits for illegal immigrants in Minnesota has also raised concerns.

In 2020, Tim Walz allowed for BLM and ANTIFA to riot all across Minneapolis. Kamala Harris used her X account to help bail the Minneapolis rioters out of jail. Ironically, Tim and Kamala will call President Trump a “threat to democracy.”
