Hollywood icon James Woods has called out Joe Biden for his recent comments linking former President Donald Trump to the Ku Klux Klan, sharing a photo of Biden with a former KKK member in response.
In a recent interview, Biden suggested that under Trump’s presidency, the KKK felt emboldened. “Every other time the Ku Klux Klan’s been involved they’ve worn hoods, so they’re not identified,” Biden said. “Under [Trump’s] presidency, they came out of those woods with no hoods, knowing they had an ally. That’s how I read it. They knew they had an ally in the White House and he stepped up for them.”
Woods took to social media to respond, posting a photo of Biden campaigning in 2008 alongside Robert Byrd, a deceased former Democrat senator and known former Klan member.

The image, captured by the Associated Press at a rally in Charleston, West Virginia, during Biden’s vice presidential campaign with then-Sen. Barack Obama, was captioned by Woods: “This you with the Ku Klux Klan Exalted Cyclops, Joe?”

Byrd, who passed away in 2010, was a former “Exalted Cyclops” of his local KKK chapter. In his autobiography, Byrd admitted to his Klan involvement, writing, “Many of the ‘best’ people were members — even senators and other high officials.”
