Christopher Hopkins, better known as The Makeover Guy, has spent the past thirty years changing people’s lives by giving them incredible makeovers. His favorite clients to work with are women over the age of 45 because he loves giving them a new lease on life with a new look.
“Hopkins champions women over 45, teaching them how to command attention by looking and feeling great. With compassion and brutal honesty, Hopkins tackles and rectifies problems that women face as they age,” reads the description of his book “Staging Your Comeback: A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45.”
That’s why a 59-year-old woman named Mary decided to travel all the way from her home in Ripon, Wisconsin to Christopher’s salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota just to have a session with him. Mary is the mother of two boys and grandmother to six, and though she’s only 59, she said she feels more like 72.
“In the last four to five years I lost my confidence,” she said. “I feel invisible and I don’t want to go out. I’m comfortable staying in the house eating popcorn, watching movies and Netflix.”
That’s why Mary decided that it was time to change her life with a makeover. “I would like this makeover to inspire me to want to go out and have fun with my grandkids and go to their games and not be worried about how I look and feel,” she explained. “I just want to feel confident again.”
Christopher knew exactly what he wanted to do with Mary, and when she saw the results of her new look, she could not believe her eyes! As she looked at the transformation Christopher had given her, Mary had some advice from others who were in similar boats to hers. “If you’re feeling invisible there is always something you can do to stay motivated, to stay current, and this is a great way to get started,” she said.
Social media users agreed that Mary’s makeover looked amazing. “She just sparkles! Magnificent job Christopher,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “You’re NOT invisible anymore, Mary!”
