Country music star Lee Brice appeared on "Fox & Friends" this week to talk about his new music video and what life is like amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
While talking to host Brian Kilmeade, Brice joked that the forced time at home with his family has been a mixed blessing. "Getting to know your kids very deeply is a whole 'nother level, so it's been a good time to be at home and have some true, connected family time," he said, adding that his three children have been "bouncing off the walls."
The music video for Brice's new song "One of Them Girls" was released on Friday—in it, he honors the first responders who are on the front-lines grappling with the coronavirus pandemic. The video shows a young single mother struggling to make ends meet as a firefighter, and it ends with her saving a man who was in a car accident.
"The video says a lot. It's a strong woman," Brice explained. "It's a single mother in the video, so it even takes the song to another level. She's also a firefighter, so she is a first responder. And there's a thing about the kind of girl that all us boys are really looking for at heart."
Here's What They're Not Telling You About Your Retirement
"I just love that the title could easily come across with a negative connotation at first. But, it's so very much about that girl that all of us —deep down, at the end of the day, at the end of our lives— really hope to have loving us," he added in a statement to iHeartRadio.
Social media users can't get enough of the song and the video that accompanies it. "God bless you man!! You have a god given talent and you are better then most out there keep you’re head up High keep rolling through this blessed road and keep pouring your heart into people because that’s what we all love," one social media user commented, with another adding, "Read about this song in a Fox News article today. Sounds great and I wish we had more strong women like the one you depicted here in the song and music video."
