John Legend’s Desperate Attempt to Stereotype Trump Voters

The casting call for a new music video shows the performer's efforts to discredit those who disagree with him

Musician John Legend is looking to cast people as voters of President Donald Trump in an upcoming music video.

“White men and women, 30-65 years old, preferably out of shape,” read a casting advertisement from Casting Networks in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

It continued, “Will be playing protesters [sic] at a rally. We will shoot a make belief [sic] rally on a sound stage and will need 8 people to play Trump supporters.”

The video also reportedly aims to cast people as Black Lives Matter protesters, young white male protesters — and kissing couples.

John Legend has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump for a long time, and he was an avid supporter of Hillary Clinton. So it’s no surprise to see his music turn political. What is a surprise is seeing the artist so blatantly strain to stereotype Trump voters. One wonders if the elitist has ever met a Trump voter in his life.

Fortunately, here at LifeZette, we’ve spoken to many Trump voters and supporters — and would like to give Legend a more well-rounded idea of who they are.

There are Joy Villa and Kaya Jones, two musicians who are currently helping greatly in Harvey relief efforts in Texas. There are also Dean Cain and Kevin Sorbo.

Beyond that, there’s comedian and actress Roseanne Barr, plus former Navy SEAL and “Lone Survivor” author Marcus Luttrell (who spoke at the last Republican National Convention). There are veterans and Benghazi heroes John “Tig” Tiegen and Mark “Oz” Geist.

Funny. None of these people quite fit Legend’s description.

One almost begins to wonder whether Legend is trying to push his own false narrative to discredit those who disagree with him — but a successful Hollywood artist would never do that, right?
