It’s been a rough week for Ben Affleck.

First, he came under fire for taking days to respond to the allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein, a close colleague of his.

Then, after he issued a statement saying he was “saddened and angry” about the reports, he was accused of groping actress Hilarie Burton on a 2003 episode of “Total Request Live” on MTV. The actress confirmed that it happened on Twitter, and even provided evidence of inappropriate flirting via video.

Affleck quickly responded Wednesday afternoon with the following tweet:

The response with fans was mixed. Some are commending him for taking responsibility for his actions, while others are saying it’s too little, too late, and that his response was void of real emotion or regret.
