It’s hard to believe Rosie O’Donnell was once considered a comedian. She’s been so consumed by anti-Trump hysteria for the past year or more that her Twitter account suggests someone devoid of any sense of humor at all — and someone unaware of the exaggerated and bloated nature of her statements.

Nearly every tweet relates back to the president. She continually beats the fearmongering drums and promotes the notion that absolutely every piece of legislation that passes is another sign of the apocalypse.

The recent tax bill approved by the Senate (and to be voted on again today by the House) was no different. O’Donnell believes the sky is falling — and she was so desperate to stop it that she took to Twitter to offer money to Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Jeff Flake to vote against the bill. She offered $2 million to them, to be exact.

So the person saying a tax cut for many Americans will be the end of days has millions of dollars to spare? It’s hard to tell if O’Donnell is aware of irony at this point in time.

Bribery is also illegal under federal law.

Perhaps the “comedian” was joking. Perhaps it was all some lame attempt at satire meant to make some larger, tired point about politicians being bought and paid for.

This seems like wishful thinking, since O’Donnell’s social media is so humorless and she seems so constantly and desperately obsessed with the president. Here are some recent tweets from her account:

Trump critics like O’Donnell appear to center their lives around the president far more than even his most ardent supporters do.

In case anyone needed any more proof about O’Donnell’s mindset, remember this is the same person who suggested martial law to prevent the president from taking office; the same person who needed to apologize for cyberbullying 11-year-old Barron Trump; the same person who has been caught spreading fake news about Trump; and the same person even “Saturday Night Live” felt has gone too far in her Trump criticism.
