House Democrats will be seeking to demonstrate that President Donald Trump should be impeached and kicked out of office for a variety of reasons, focused around activities connected to Ukraine.

Republicans will be seeking to demonstrate that the witnesses called today have holes in their stories, were not firsthand witnesses to anything — and that this procedure overall is essentially a sham operation against the presidency and that nothing the Democrats cite today or have cited in the past rise to the level of any impeachable offenses.
