Do we want to live limited by what we can do with our talent — or allow God to work miracles?

By living in Christ, we engage God’s power to use our small talents in big ways. Every miracle belongs to Him, but He freely shares the experience with us.

What do I mean by this?

It’s easiest to explain by giving an example. When I’m totally tuned into the Spirit, He leads me to also minister to the soul of someone who is in my office just looking for legal advice.

I marvel at how God gives me just the right words to move the person’s heart.

People often ask me, “How do you know exactly what I needed to hear?”

I typically say, “I don’t — God does. And while you were pouring out your problem to me, I was asking Him for wisdom, because He knows exactly what you need.”

I’m always as surprised as others are about what God leads me to say.

When the Spirit gives me His words, it’s clearly a miracle. I stand in awe each time it happens.

He works miracles in other ways, too.

I never expected to be an author — and I’m not — without Him.

If I try to write devotionals purely as a work of intellectual study, without engaging God in my heart — it will never work. (The author, Kimberly Faith, is shown in the image above this article.)

I’ve tried — and failed.

Furthermore, the music I’ve written and recorded with others is another example of miracles. Not one song would have been written without Him.

I know it.

I don’t even try to write a song outside of the Spirit’s inspiration.

So what’s the key?

It’s knowing and trusting God.

When we know and trust God, we listen to Him and He engages us in miracles.

Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14‬:12-14‬).

When we know and trust God, we listen to Him and He engages us in miracles.

Living in God’s miracles is simply astounding.

I never want to go back to living any other way.
