Dems and NeverTrumpers Are ‘the Cruelest,’ as They Treat Victims of Illegal Immigrant Crime with Scorn

Parents of Pierce Corcoran spoke out on 'The Ingraham Angle'

Democrats and NeverTrumpers who resist President Donald Trump’s fight for border security and wall funding “are actually the cruelest of them all” and treat victims of illegal immigrant crime “with complete indifference and even scorn,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham said Thursday night on “The Ingraham Angle.”

The Democrats’ new talking point — as well as many members of the mainstream media’s — is calling the illegal immigration and border crisis a “manufactured crisis” that the GOP designed to force the funding of Trump’s border wall.

They’ve called the idea of a border wall outdated, unnecessary, immoral and cruel.

Trump delivered his first Oval Office address on Tuesday evening, which the major TV networks carried during prime time. The address occurred amid a partial government shutdown, which resulted from Democrats’ refusal to give Trump the $5 billion in border wall funding he’s requested.

Trump asked the Democrats, “How much more American blood must we shed before Congress does its job?”

But Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) delivered their joint rebuttals Tuesday night and have refused to budge on border wall funding.

Ingraham spoke on Thursday night in a moving interview with the parents of Pierce Corcoran, a 22-year-old Tennessean who died after an illegal immigrant struck him by swerving into oncoming traffic as he was in his vehicle.

Suspect Franco Cambrany Francisco-Eduardo, 44, was charged and handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

“Just look at the current border stand-off issue and it’s apparent that the Democrats and the NeverTrumpers are actually the cruelest of them all,” Ingraham said. “While they spent months on the border bemoaning the plight of migrant families in detention centers, they treat American victims of illegal alien crime with complete indifferent and even scorn.”

“These are Americans who would be alive today if politicians did their jobs and did everything that was necessary to protect America’s borders,” Ingraham added. “And these are the people who have the nerve to call Donald Trump cruel? If it’s not a death that they can exploit for political gain, they’re just not interested in it at all.”

Pierce Corcoran’s father, D.J. Corcoran, told Ingraham he could not believe Democrats have accused Trump and the GOP of “manufacturing” the border crisis.

“It’s real. And it really ticks me off when I see Pelosi acting like a three-year-old and saying that it’s fabricated,” D.J. Corcoran said. “So Ms. Pelosi — this is our son. This was Pierce Corcoran,” the grieving father said as he held up a framed picture of his beloved son. “He is dead. His death is real … It’s not fabricated. And he died at the hands of an illegal immigrant.”

“We feel that the government owes the American people better than what we’re getting right now. And it really just upsets us when we hear you saying that basically that it doesn’t matter,” D.J. Corcoran continued.

Wendy Corcoran, Pierce Corcoran’s wife, said the Democrats are “just out of touch” and “just don’t get that it’s really about responsibility on their part” to secure the border and clamp down on illegal immigration.

She said Democrats “just don’t get that someone has died at the hands of someone else that shouldn’t have been here,” adding that “our government has failed us.”

D.J. Corcoran said he sees the wall as “a symbol to the American people that the government is listening to them — listening to our concerns.”

Wendy Corcoran wondered, “Why is it wrong to protect the American people?”

Ingraham demanded of the Democrats, “How long can the resistance to President Trump ignore these headlines and these people? These are real human beings.”
